  Left 4 Dead barely has a story o3o; It's just four people with different backgrounds who work together through various maps to survive the horde and make it to the rescue crafts. Though I can't argue, Highschool of the Dead's plot and it's zombies are kind of...cheesy.

  Just finished watching the first episode.
  Eh, it's pretty good actually, just (yeah and I'm a guy saying this) waaay too much echii (for a zombie story).

  It was alright, the ecchi didnt bother me, but I didn't like some of the panty-shots. By that, I mean the zooming in on her undergarments while she's screaming for her life. Also, the girl was annoying to me. But I still like it since it's probably the most unique anime out right now, having to do with zombies and all.

  ecchi is a vital part of a zombie movie.
  Unfortunately they just didn't do it well. Too much and too blatant to the point where its a joke, which betrays the serious tone the series puts off most of the time.
  
  The whole 3D background or object with 2D characters thing has always annoyed me. That got a minus.
  
  Otherwise everything else looks fine for an adaptation. Might watch, might not. Still need to see how it plays out.

  Though I do say, HOTD makes me think House of the Dead more. Too much fan service though.

  Its not that bad. Not as scary because they're moderate slow zombies, and they can't see you, only hear you. This one big weakness makes them really easy to avoid, and even distract if needed.

  Well it got less scary after the initial school chapters. I'm not afraid of the idea of zombies themselves, but the first part of seeing the reactions is what got to me. After that it became zombies as usual.
