Not at all. They got new portals which have an effect on the way you log in. If they messed up with that, there could be a possibility that accounts could have been damaged/lost/leaked in the process. Not only that, they have to make sure that there are no problems nor any exploits people could take advantage of.
That, and they had to do it with 9 different websites. Mabinogi is not the only game that Nexon has.

Vindictus servers (I'm on East) are screwed up now. Cannot make or enter boats as you get stuck at the loading menu.
Tried relogging and I get a "Response Delayed" error message.

All I needed was my security questions which only required email verification :smoke:
Also, I was able to change my email. But I also had access to my old email. If you can't access your old email you signed up to Nexon with, well you're ****ed then.
