What do they use to search anyways? Is it manual browsing? Because... honestly, we let airport security take away way too many of our rights. I mean, the super invasive TSA near-rape patdowns, and the full body scanners where they can see you like you're totally nude... and you get radiation from it. It's just crazy what we're allowing.

There's radiation all over the world. Even concrete walls emit radiation. I don't have the numbers and can't be arsed to look them up, but I don't think the amount of radiation is anything noteworthy.

It's not like those pictures are very exciting anyway. I've seen one once in an article about a Scottish bunch who wanted to have it outlawed on the grounds that children are practically naked in it (disgusting horrible vile satanic inhuman child pornography, you know the drill), and I can tell you, every kind of clothing makes you seem hotter than that ****.

I know someone who got their laptop dismantled in search of explosives by the TSA. They won't in any way replace it or compensate him for it, and the warranty is void because of what they did to it.

Pretty much lost 1500$+ on a brand new laptop thanks to the good old USA.

Actually, they can't criminally charge you in the US for not disclosing the password. They can still search/hold you if you are deemed suspicious, however (such as if you're hiding stuff on your laptop).
