A Tale of Alroy

  It's an actual graphic novel I will work on over the summer.The prologue is loosely based on the traditional Irish song,Siuil a Run or Walk my love. A young woman meets a young man,when she gets older marries him,they have a son named Alroy which means "red hair" in Irish Gaelic. So then a merchant come to their house one day with a "sword of steel" an actual item named in the second verse of the song.So the mother of Alroy sells her rock,her reel,and only spinning wheel to purchase the sword for her husband. The Fomorians invade and start to burn down houses in the village including Alroy's.Alroy's parents escape but he is nowhere to be found,even the sword is gone. Turns out he was captured by the Fomors and meets a strange girl who was also captured...

  His whole name means: "Red-haired little king" in Irish.
