SP Bars Draining?

Is this a glitch or a boss thing? I was taking on Chaser Keser, and was going to use shield rush to get rid of the mobs around him since I was soloing. I go to press the button, and all my SP is gone (I had four full bars).

This has happened one other time to me when I was doing fleeing gnoll king, although I was in transformation at that time. I thought it was a transformation glitch, however with it happening on a different boss with no transformation, I'm thinking it's just a general glitch.

A very annoying one at that.

It happend to me so many times when i used Reverse Gravity... it takes all of the sp and gives NO EFFECT. I think its lag.

I get this as well except with Karok's Earthquake. I do think it's just lag, as sometimes my smashes, not just my SP skills, would glitch, not doing damage at all.
