how does this work?
do i just take the sum?
or do i take the sum after taking absolute values of the negative numbers?

I've never had to work with negative numbers before.
I believe you need to transform the data somehow, that's all I recall.

Usually, it means adding the negative numbers as well.
But it really depends on the data set, and what the lesson on statistics is on, lol.

well... the data set is
-7, -2, 10, 3, 15, 24, 24.
It's just a stat summer hw that's supposed to test my prior knowledge in stat.
The question is under the title: Basic Statistics.

if thats the case, then just sum them all up and divide by n. Simple as that.
