This is my first post so, I accept critisism and comments that will be helpful to me. This guide was made purely to help those beginner rangers out there that need help understanding how to effectively fight using range, so this guide is NOT a skill leveling guide. Thanks for reading and have a nice time trying out range! (Sorry about having no pictures, I kind of made this in a rush.)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
First of all, to range you need a bow and arrow, right? Well, to follow this guide's ranging strategy, you will need a LOT of arrows. Pick up about 200-300 from the shop, equip them, and go off hunting.
It doesn't matter what level your ranged is, but the higher the more accuracy you will have. I would start out trying this strategy on a monster that you would not kill in one hit, but would also not one hit kill you. In other words, a monster on your level.
Make sure you have your combat on MANUAL ATTACK, otherwise the arrow will go off based on the system's settings(?). Prepare your ranged attack skill, aim at the monster, but wait until you are at 99%, then fire. Another way to get the monster to aggro you, but if you are too close, is to use a Magnum Shot, charged to 99%, then click again to fire.
When the monster gets hit, it will be stunned for about two seconds. Use this chance to load another arrow and aim at the enemy. Wait until 99% or until the enemy moves, at which point the arrow accuracy will automatically be moved down to 80%, and fire. If this hits, there will be a high chance of the monster running towards you. Load another arrow, and wait until 50% accuracy to fire.
Load another arrow while the enemy is stunned, then (if the enemy is at a medium distance from you, meaning, he can't reach you with an attack yet) wait until 30-50% to fire. This method is a bit inaccurate at times but if you manage to pull it off, you will have done a considerate amount of damage to the enemy, and he should be reasonably close. The closer the enemy gets, the time of release on the arrow should be shorter, until the enemy is up in your face and you are spamming the arrow shot button.
After a short while of this "up in your face" confrontation, the enemy should be dead. Congratulate yourself on picking up this strategy, then try to do it again. XD
The main point of this ^^^ strategy is to whittle down the enemy's Health as much as you can while he is away from you, then attack with agression when he is near you to inflict as much damage as you possibly can. This strategy can be counted as a way to train your ranged attack skills, but do not really heavily on it for fighting opponents. Thanks for reading this long, boring guide, hope it helps you, and good luck!

ugh, wall of text. didnt even bother reading past the first few sentences. make paragraphs, space out some more. no one likes big walls of text. after you fix this i will come back and critique some more.

Unless Marene just edited it, it looks spaced out to me :p

the guide lacks a lot of information. i wouldnt neccessarily call this a guide either. more of a "How to use the ranged attack", which you basically just explain how to spam it, no real strategy involved. according to your info your only about total lvl 200, which is much much too early to even begin writing a guide as you lack the knowledge of first hand experience in archery to do so.
/end somewhat harsh critiqe, everyones a critic you know :awesome:

Well Kollin, if you think about it, there are some people that don't focus on leveling. A level 50 total can possibly have rank 1 Ranged attack, total level does not account for how much experience one has on a certain subject. Also, this was my first guide, I didn't have much past experiences of guide-writing to work off of.

dont be getting too defensive . and its doubtful someone of total lvl 50 would have ranged attack rank 1, unless they spam lvled explorer which is still lvling. generally higher total lvl = more ap = higher skills = more time spent in game = knowledge of certain things gained. spamming range is a good tactic if your a newb, but only on weak monsters. stronger monsters that take more to down and bosses, this generally is not a good idea unless your doing zero shot, which might be helpful to put into your "guide".

It's not defensive, and this guide was made for fresh archers, I did not recommend this for already-veteran/high ranking archers, this little "strategy" was something I simply happened to stumble upon while playing and wanted to share with others, thanks for the critisism anyway

yes, it works for fresh out of character creation archers. however the goal of any character regardless of specialty should be to outgrow the newbie stage and learn better tactics. range spam (not counting zero shot) will only get you so far. luckily this isnt the nexon forums, we have an edit button so you can always go back and add more later.

If the guide is basically for extremely new people to archery, maybe you should add things such as:
Why to some of your explanations, as it may help them understand the system more.
Such as they may want to know the effects of Magnum, being your Stamina drains even while you are aiming, and using Magnum Shot knocks the enemy back to give you some distance. Some key parts they may not wanna wait to find out themselves, if they have not that high stamina. Though at the lower ranks, Ranged Attack takes barely any stamina to spam constantly.
Er, maybe put what it relies on too, such as Dexterity. And also starting weapons would probably be a nice help as well to the newer archers. Archer Destiny tips such as the 2x training too?
I know this isn't a skill leveling guide, but I suppose it becomes somewhat of a good reference for newbies if they can't stick it in their minds for later when they actually get deeper in the skills such as Crash Shot and life skills for Dexterity.
And also, you may not want to tell them how much to aim at in a limit, because it limits people's growth of what they can and can't do. The basics will do for now, such as shooting at whatever percent and above may be more suitable, but that's just me.
And it never said, but whichever guide this is for, human or elf? May want to make an addition for that as well, but don't think it really matters to people that much.
