What armor is best for Karok in before the high tiers?

  I got all the way up to 43 wearing Elite Commander because I thought Karok could wear Laghodessa Slayer...only to find that he can't. :( Should I switch to Blood Prince or War Edge now, or hold out until 52 where I can wear Southern Winter?

  I'd get Royal Cadet over Southern Winter. Royal Cadet has a few more hundred DEF and is barely lacking in terms of STR against Southern Winter (around 47 less STR with Cadet's ATT boost factored in).
  
  Otherwise Blood Prince is pretty much your only choice from ~30 all the way to 52.

  IMO nexon fked his armor tiers up ... I mean COMON.... 20 lvls with BLOOD PRINCE.... meanwhile Spider lord (lvl 42 or 44 to wear)... Lann, Fiona, and EVEN EVIE can wear it... its a HIGH def set with str bonus in the 60's ? 70's i think and karok can't wear it.. yeah thats BS

  Cadet has 350 or so more def total,
  Southern winter has 170 or so more ATT
  
  TBH Def is more valuable in this game at least with karok and fiona and theres 2x the amount of it
  So unless your trying to be full out DMGER (even if by a miniscule amt) go southern but that def helps

  Honestly, I just used sets that were given to me in quests til I got to the lvl 52 armor. I agree that def is a bit more valuable, especially since LRLR can take out most mobs. Either way, in Prairie Entrance and Ruins of Sanctity and somewhat in Hoarfrost Depths, the mobs there aren't that hard, so any sets would do decent damage. I was still able to solo a lot of Hoarfrost Depths using the Light Melca from the quest Ferghus gives you.

  the thing is all the other armors that are either above or below BP except for lvl 52 armors and up are the same def and str as BP give or take 10-20 def or 5-8 str why would i [S]upgrade[/S] change my armor for those measly stats?

  Or just simply don't use BP? I got a BP but sold it right away for way more than it's worth because really, it's not worth it to spend hours of your gameplay to get a sub-par armor that gives poor stats anyways, in which can just be made up with a decent pillar.
  
  Edit: If you plan on staying in the 40s for a long time, sure go with BP. If you plan on getting to 50s quickly, not really worth it in my opinion.

  you dont seem to get that all the armors in the range of 32-51 are all the same... if you get blood prince (its available first b4 any others) why bother...by time you get light melca from ferghus at lvl 42... its kinda pointless bp has the same stats...

  Yes, I do seem to get that most of the armors have similar stats, but they are not the same. Why would I tell someone then to not even bother with wasting their money getting a set when they get one for free in a quest? Also, seeing as I'm 60+ Karok as well, I think I would know a little bit about Karok's armors.

  Hidden solo is easy as a Karok. I can probably do that with no armor at all. Why is memorizing the attacks of a simple and slow boss proof of being "good" at this game?

  You are right about the light melca but is it really worth it to replace it sure its 150 def... but it still isnt going to help that much as for your statement.....

  i can solo hidden as long as i get hs slip dash mana amber. idk why yu find soloing hidden hard at all....

  Why so double-post? Anyway wearing armor with Karok is almost pointless because he absorbs everything, the only reason I wear armor is because Karok does OCCASIONALLY take damage. (And armor looks cool).
