I find it next to impossible to type because my letters, space and back space don't work. I can type what appears when I do the alphabet.

It's hard to type with the on screen one though. I can usually type like, 40x faster.

Laptop keyboards can usually be replaced. No need to buy a whole new laptop (unless you want a new one anyway). I'm not really sure where you'd buy that part, though.. you could try contacting the manufacturer.
