Tarvos wrote on 2011-07-06 06:56
Hm, if I recall, my first ign was Crimsonfox xx (the x's are because I don't remember the numbers) on Runescape. I liked foxes and the color crimson. Simple enough. That was the first time I had played an MMO really. This was a year before I played Mabinogi. 4 years ago now I think...
Next up was created in Mabinogi, which I started playing 3 years ago. This is where I started using Tarvos. I got the name from .Hack's 7th main boss, because, not only did I think he was cool, the name sounded boss and at the time I was into the game. I actually found Mabinogi in part because the manga/anime series interested me in MMOs (minus the comas), and Mabinogi at the time was the most similar gameto .Hack I could find due to the celtic mythology themes. I wanted a name of one of the 8 Phases (these were the main bosses in .Hack). All that was left when I created my scharacter was Tarvos and Fidchell. Fidchell is the most uninteresting of the 8, so, I figured taking Tarvos would be cool. I used the name Tarvos until I quit. This is the only site I still actively use the name on as a matter of fact.
My latest is Viridis and whatever variants of the name I use if it's taken. Viridis00 is my most common, but others exist I think. I thought up the name because playing Mabinogi I always wore green clothes seeing as it's my favorite color, and I somewhat became associated with the color seeing as I hung out with a player who loved the color green also. Viridis is the Latin word for Green. The 00 that's sometimes with it, contrary to what a couple people have said before does not come from Gundam 00. At the time, I was watching Evangelion again for the 10th or so time, and my favorite unit was 00'. Simple as that.
Hope you enjoyed this wall of text.

I also use Atalante, Alouette, and Aethr for specific characters. Bit of a pattern there :x

Too many names, so I'll just go with my current username.
When I use to go to BasilMarket, I figured I should have a shop-like name (since it's an auction site). At the time, I was reading those Archie comics... There was this shop called Chocklitshop and I loved the way it was spelled, so I took that name. Later on nation, people started going to iSketch and I kinda wanted to have a name that is different than my nation name. Young Money was relatively new, so I named myself YoungChockeh. I just dropped the Young part cause it kinda annoyed me.

ITT, seriously?
My history is: I played the Gothic series and liked its lore, and one day it appeared to me "why not call yourself after that one prominent plant", so I dd it. And now my name is Sumpfkraut, all around the internet. Except where it was unavailable.
I had a few names before but they hardly belong into a history of my current name.

JustNoOne wrote on 2011-07-06 15:04
My first username was chip103220, this was given to me when I signed up for Neopets for my first time and the name generator had a name I wanted, so I just liked it and took it. The reason that it took off with me was because I won the Pirate Cave of the Week with that username so I believed it contained some good luck.
Than after that I got into Gunz and created the serious of games containing lolmanwtf and lolmanwth because loved playing on many characters and I wanted to remain a level 1 to fight against newbies ^^.
The next phase of my internet name came when I decided to join the Smash community, I decided that my old names were pretty crap and I needed a simple alias for everyone to remember me by. Once pondering around I thought to myself: "Man, if I join the community, I would be just no one" and my head clicked and I became JustNoOne.
Lastly when I took a hiatus from the Smash Community (currently in one now), I started playing Mabinogi and I decided I needed a real good name to go by in MMOs because again, I felt my previous alias were not fit, especially in MMORPGs, so I decided to create names randomly and I thought I needed some sort of inspiration create some new names. Somehow through this process, I created some names I don't go by anymore, but ohh well...

Schezo wrote on 2011-07-06 17:07
My first username was actually MissHannah (Couple of you guys should know that all too well.) which originated from a heroine in Neopets, Hannah the Usul. THIS WAS FIVE YEARS AGO TYVM. I was a big Neopets fan in those days so that name stuck with me until I was exposed to a certain anime called Full Metal Alchemist. I was named MissHannah in Maplestory (dear god.) and played the role of the Cleric (don't say those two words or Ill end you.) and had FMA hype at that time. I was the self-proclaimed "Cleric Alchemist" back in Mapletip, some old stomping grounds, but eventually the title stuck onto me and that's how I was known as the Cleric Alchemist. I was VERY well known for having the brown-colored Connie hair and Purple Moonlight combo. I moved on to Windia when Big Bang rolled around, but I still maintained my famous getup.
As I grew out of MS pre-BB, I had grown an attachment to a name my brother suggested as an internet identity, which so happens to be Keiko. Due to the common nature of the name, I slapped on the word Alchemist before it whenever it's taken. Or if I'm allowed spaces for any reason, I could name myself my full internet name: Keiko Kawazaki.
Now, my current username, Schezo, mai hasubando (YES I WENT THERE. MY FANGIRLYNESS CANNOT DESCRIBED IN NORMAL WORDS.), is a character from a completely obscure puzzle game called Puyo Puyo. This is only temporary, as it was changed during RP week. Although my dumbass self mishmashed Schezo and Zoroark (Schezo's a Dark Wizard, Zoroark's a Dark-type.) and came up with the name "Schezoroark." Which so happened to be spelt like this: シェ ゾãƒã‚¢ãƒ¼ã‚¯

Saffielia wrote on 2011-07-06 17:20
Saffielia has been the Loli's title since the beginning. She drew a dragon and named it "Saffielia". Then she began to write stories about a Human girl named Saffielia with the last name "Hallestaff" and the name just stuck.

Drifter wrote on 2011-07-06 18:55
Well, My first web IGN was for good ol' Neoptets. I went by the handle of Rev20XX
Rev was the name I used in all of my pokemon games (My real name never fit) and 20XX is the number of the year from a megaman game I remembered just beating. anyways after that point my name was always Rev or Rev20XX whenever I had to use numbers.
After that, I remember writing stories for my friends comic books. In one of the stories I never pitched to him there was a man who took on the alias Dekuri, I liked the name so I ended up using it in most if not all of the MMO's that I played (KartRider,Maplestory,WoW, etc.)
Afterwards though, my friend joined maple. I was persuaded to start on a new server with him and took the name DawnPuppet since his name was DuskPuppet. I only ever did that again in Mabinogi when I joined tarlach.
Then when I left Tarlach and joined Alexina... I needed a new name after much contemplating I decided on Cook. It was short easy to remember and a fun name.
Ah but as for my forum name. that's a different story... I decided on Drifter because I was never one to stick around on forum communities and I usually just regarded myself a drifter. Never did I believe that I would actually frequent the site and grow to like the people here, but most of life is unexpected things happening.

So I was sort of a Final Fantasy fan back in the days pre-Playstation 2.
Favorite reoccurring character is Cid, who is always regarded as a master engineer throughout the series.
Protagonist of favorite Final Fantasy (which is FF9) is Zidane.
Oh, hey, let's combine the two names and shorten it to a short, simple, memorable name:
Zid
