I've played both and I'm far too lazy to train my Karok to the level of my Lann to test it myself.. And I dunno much about Lann, so which is better? I'd like to know everything you know about the two and what you think makes one better than the other. In my opinion they're pretty much equal.
I'm thinking of playing my Lann again because Karok is just kind of.. Ugly.
(I also have a permanent facial tattoo on my Lann so that's something I'd like to continue having).
I wanna know which is better in terms of stats, by the way.

Karok is like... always kill never die, kinda like Hammiona. Lann does damage, but he dies in 4 seconds.

Pretty much. Lann has crap survivability.

I beg to differ! Sword lann has very decent survivability IF you have a decent slip dash rank (9+) and know how to use it properly. I do however like Karok more. His combos are nice, he can roll cancel (just about) every one of his moves, and the berserker type class appeals to me in this game. So my personal preference is Karok over Lann, but I found Lann boring in the first place, that's why I played Fiona.

IMO Karok is better.

To many people going with Karok.. Just what I expected.. And not what I wanted.. Lann is just so much more cool than Karok.

do not care, nor should anybody else.

Survival mechanisms are an important component to every character. If survivability wasn't an issue everyone would be playing a spear Lann.

cool story bro, the difference is this is a decent thread as opposed to a **** thread
Not to mention that doesn't even make sense, gg.
I've played every character for a decent amount of time and I conclude [which is common consensus], that compared to every other character, Lann has the worst survivability.
Got a problem with that?

Lann. Specifically, Spear Lann 'cause he has the crits.
Nothing is more glorious than doing LR -> Gliding Fury -> Lightning Fury -> Roll -> Gliding Fury -> Lightning Fury.
NOTHING.

No. I never got a chance to reply to what you said on my other thread is all.
I agree that Lann has the least survivability of all characters.

psh, ditch both. go Evie! :D but if you HAVE to pick between Lann and Karok, Karok wins in every single category.

I frankly dislike magical characters in all games I've played. Goddammit, I guess I'll just play Karok and Lann. I just hate having to manage two characters at a time..

Depends on what you really want really. They are two completely different play styles, and just play to which you are more comfortable with. My personal opinion would be Karok. Not because he has the highest damage or dps, just the fact that he can survive more often than not in most situations. If you want to be a quick hitting dps player, go Lann. If you want to be a slow but hard hitting player, go Karok. If you want to quickly dodge out of the way from attacks, rather than absorb the attacks, go Lann, vice versa for Karok.
Don't choose a character because other people say it's better choose a character cause you want to play that character. The game will get old and not fun if you don't enjoy it.

I agree, I would have chosen evie at first for the scythe, but, it turns out Dual wielding is my thing
