This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. You can not register, post or otherwise interact with the site other than browsing the content for historical purposes. The content is provided as-is, from the moment of the last backup taken of the database in 2019. Image and video embeds are disabled on purpose and represented textually since most of those links are dead.

There should be more New Posts options, for example: One that only includes Mabinogi posts, other that includes only Vindictus posts, etc.
I'm talking about this kind of thing:
http://mabination.com/search.php?do=getnew&exclude=52
This link shows new posts but excludes the Ma/b/inogi forum, useful for people that don't look at the spam forum, and on days like today where that forum is on fire.
And once the Vindictus forums get bigger New Posts from specific sections would be nice.
For example, see
this forum, under the button "What's new?" you have different getnews with excluded forums.
I think it's an useful function, and should be considered =O

I dare say, I agree.

Plus, I think the only reason /b/ is so full is because people actually know immediately if something is going on, while back on guru, the lazy bastards who didn't want to browse to the Spam section never knew it even existed.

Osay, you will defeat the purpose of the /b/ if you do that. People won't go there anymore and I'd have to start posting my spam in the everything else section.
BELIEVE ME, I'D DO IT.
Isn't there some option that allows you to filer what section is shown in new posts anyway?

This is partially configured now, just need to fix the array of forums to exclude on each link and it should be working correctly (right now it's just random copy pasted stuff).
