By enchanting I mean putting a scroll enchant onto a piece of equipment. Could someone give a thorough guide on how it works?
I get the basics like obviously you need the scroll and the associated piece of armor and you can add magic elixirs to boost the chance it'll work. But what about the "destroy" chance and what the ranks mean and anything else I might not know.

1. Rank 9 Enchants make either break your equipment, lose a lot of dura, or be sucessful. Dunno the chances though
2.The higher the enchant, generally, the better it is.

So anything < rank 9 has no chance to break your equipment? (Does it have a chance to lose dura?)

I know for a fact that rank E and F take away one durability on your gear. Not sure how much others take, but they do.

So If i have an ivory battle pillar and want to put an Oblivion scroll onto it. What are the possible disadvantages that can arise? (Does It have a chance to destroy my Pillar?)
Pillar is lvl 54, Enchant is Rank A.

As far as I know, there are no rank 9 Enchants yet.
And no, there is no chance of that destroying your Ivory Weapon.
But yes, it can lower durability. (Not a crazy amount, at max 10? or so)

Alrighty out of sheer luck. My 2nd run with a friend on Heroic: Regrets... Too Late netted me an Oblivion scroll.
I want to go put this on my Ivory Battle Pillar. How do I go about doing this?

Go to Brynn and select enchanting. Put your scroll in one box and your item in the other and start enchanting.
More importantly though, is the success chance increase mechanic.
Your goal is to reach 100 Brynns of magic. You start at 0 Brynns. You can increase the amount of Brynns by adding magic elixirs, crafted by Brynn for magic powders and I believe spirit remnants as well as life ergs. Each elixir will give you a random amount of Brynns within a certain range. The highest is 1-50, the other two are 3-5 and 1-10. As you put elixirs into your enchant, you will see the brynns increase according to the number selected by the random number generator. I believe there is a max of 5 elixirs in any enchant, although I am probably wrong, as I do not enchant often. It is basically a game of guess and check. I like to bring 5 blessed magic elixirs (the 1-50) in case I get a bunch of low numbers, 3 elixirs of life (3-5) and 2 magic elixirs (1-10)
