Rant subforum

  i think its a pretty good idea to have a rant section, since alot people are getting more..angry now days, having it would let mabinogi talk have more threads people want to talk about, instead of things only 1 person get mad at, also dfosource have an rant section and its doing pretty well.

  we don't need a rants forum; the people ranting need to learn to a.) calm themselves and try NOT to rant [because a forum like this would only encourage it, which is bad for them and bad for us reading], b.) find a PRIVATE place to vent their issues, or c.) turn an angry rant into a semi-productive discussion about what they dislike.

  But yeah, BR is the place for everything not related to something else. If that makes sense.

  I support OP's petition, a rant forum which could be hidden for non-members like the 18+ section would alleviate the recent influx of rant threads taking space on mabinogi talk. I honestly don't support these threads and I want them out of mabi talk pronto, but when the ranters go to Bean Rua/etc they get ignored (since most of the time they're attention whoring this doesn't bode well with their thread) and then go back to mabi talk.
  
  I hope the management considers this suggestion.

  Bean Rua is the number one place to get away with trolling and flaming. I wouldn't mind seeing a ranting section at all (though I doubt it would be used frequently, despite how much I like to rant over all the small things in life).

  Well yeah, I joined the mabi part of this mabinogi fansite, not the offtopic section. I some times stray off to the anime section and rarely (although I tend to lurk around) the entertainment/library sections. I've never been too fond of the spam/off topic sections on any forum, so I stay away from them most of the time.
  
  I'm not really against off-topicness, but there's a forum for that, and that is not the mabinogi section.

Like it was said Bean Rua is pretty much there if you need to rant, sure it might be usually spam-ish, but so are most rants.

Honestly most of the user aren't bound to 1 part of the website, and some people don't even play either mabinogi or vindictus, so adding a "mabinogi rant" or a "vindictus rant" would most likely cause member to ask for a "general rant".

  Sub-forums sir, those might be the solution for your problem. Also, there should be a little leeway on what's allowed on the rants section, since it's pretty much a venting place, strong language would be tolerable, but personal insults would be a no-no. It could work as an experimental section for say, 3 months. At the end of that period, admins would decide if the rants section stays or leaves.
  
  I still support this idea and would like for the management to consider this. No, I won't be using it, but there's clearly folks who feel they need to vent out on these forums.
