Quote from TA;511167:
Say someone's driving while high on pot.
Someone runs in front of their car. They have an extremely delayed reaction.
Someone dies.
From consuming the substance itself, I meant.
People can die from anger, according to your example.
Say someone's driving while angry. They're driving really fast.
Someone runs in front of their car. They don't have enough time to swerve out of the way.
Someone dies.

From what I understand, I heard that even alcohol is worse than marijuana. I could recall a study that said it was by a factor of ten, if they could give it a value.
There are a lot more things worse than pot out there, whether or not it has medical value. Perhaps it's because some of my good friends are stoners; no I haven't done it myself, though I had some hash brownies without knowledge lol. I simply can't understand the dangers of the substance especially when compared to cigarettes and alcohol, both of which have much more noticeable withdrawal symptoms and are more addictive as a result.
Not saying everyone should do it. It's just, I usually live in a mindset where if something worse out there is allowed, then anything less should be. Perhaps I'm still naive.

It's not addictive what so ever, i've been smoking it for years and i never NEED to go smoke it, when my friend comes over with some and asks me to go smoke it with him i go hang out with him and enjoy it.

What a wonderful world it would be if people could actually control themselves. In anything.

Yes, but anger is not a consumable substance. Pot is.

never realized US govt is so socially conservative...
i don't know about its medicinal purposes but if they legalize it for medical use, it might become easier to control it. this subject way to complicated with so many issues. but in the end i suppourt medical marijuana and maybe legalizing it for recreational use? [not like companies mass producing marijuana, but one person growing a pot or two plants for themselves and friends to use, and not selling it...]

Despite all that, the sad fact remains that pure weed is healthier for you than cigarettes. Yet those are perfectly legal and way more addictive.
except they dont have huge corporate enterprises making marijuana that can afford lawyers that would make OJ simpson feel small..and poor..
also hiccup thats definitely a biased stat board.. even though cannabis in itself isn't toxic.. so much the paper your burning is.. and creates carbon actually (anything you burn creates carbon). which in itself is toxic.. also secondary effects cause some people to be stupid enough to drive and some lead to accidents as i bet its still low on the stat board weed can be a secondary killer through car crashes :/
it's certainly not 0
Course im not against marijuana i just find the news funny
tried it myself though it wasn't for me lol (how do you guys inhale that stuff? lol)

Still, no one should be driving under any negative influence.
Weed kills no one.

If there are 50 Million users, and if this drug is so dangerous? Where are the bodies?

You can tell if someone's doing pot while driving. They're the ones doing 5 mph on the highway.
pot is quite literally the least harmful substance you can ever do, besides the fact that if you have a genetic weakness then it can cause anxiety attacks.

It's the fact that pot turns you into a slug that makes it somewhat harmful. Of course, it depends 90% on the person and not the drug.. but yeah. My Cousin was a pretty avid weed user; his friends tended to get in all sorts of accidents from giving themselves a little cut on accident to even crashing into a telephone pole.
Now, the drug itself is obviously harmless. But that doesn't mean abusing it IS harmless. I don't agree with them classifying it in the same group as heroin, but yeah. It's a pretty stupid drug to use in the 1st place-- whether or not it harms you doesn't really make it any less stupid.

abuse is always bad D:
I really don't like people who do it all the time and become pot heads. They just do nothing all day or as you say, walk into telephone poles. (I actually never heard of that one)
like devy said once before, hard drugs are bad. The others are bad if you're a dumbass.

Governments really loves to interfere with science. Isn't exactly the first time.
At first I wrote US government but then I realised Europe is guilty of this as well.
