Learning Flash

  I'm interested in learning how to program in Flash, but I'm having a hard time finding a tutorial that covers all the basics from how CS5 works to ActionScript 3 syntax & concepts and whatnot. Does anyone have any good recommendations and tips? All the ones that I have found tend to deal with very specific features and require basic knowledge of how everything works. That, or they're out of date. Basically, how did all of you people out there that know Flash get started?
  
  
  I did see the post here, but I'm more interested in being able to code by myself and not have to rely on a tool developed by someone else.
  
  I have a decent amount of experience in programming with Java, so I understand the main concepts of OOP.
