Gonna play on the east server under the name 'Zlatka' (if not taken, which i doubt) feel free to add me, it's been a long time since i've even looked at vindictus. i played during closed beta, it was seriously too laggy for me.
anything i should know? i'd like to know as much as possible, is it similar to mabinogi? o-o

It's better than mabi in my opinion, The combat is real time fighting, staff evie is currently the most OP class in the game, followed by karok or hammer fiona.
also spear lanns and sword lanns are kinda at the bottom of the chain for people.

Hack and slash think dynasty warriors
Stack quests as much as possible- its not unlikely to find 2 or 3 quests that all overlap each other and can be done in 1 or 2 runs as opposed to separately
Market board is your friend

Is there a mage character in Vindictus by any chance? And how do you get skills, and do you gotta grind to get to a certain level?

I don't play Vindictus so I'm not sure about that last part. And Evie is a mage.

Feel free to add me "intimacy"
I can help with the high learning curve quests.
Also, i have a broken ash set (clothing/armor) you can wear when you break level 30 till you get a good set for yourself.

The game is a lot less complex than Mabinogi but the combat system isn't a complete stab fest. Larger raid bosses (up to eight people in one party) take good positioning and dodging to do. Skills are learned through stories (what Vindictus calls quests) or can be bought through the skill menu as you level. Ranking skills takes AP that is gained through missions. A mission is just a run through a map with the goal of defeating the end boss and usually take about ten or fifteen minutes. You can spend AP more freely since AP is a lot easier to get here than in Mabinogi.
If you enjoy life skilling and crafting, Vindictus has an expertise system that lets you craft various wearable items. Since there's a 2x proficiency boost event going on (this is a HUGE boost) you might want to try it out. Make sure you pick the right one though, you can only learn one expertise.
Money wise, you only need a small amount to do well (have decent equipment and have some luxury goods) but you need a ton of money if you want the absolute best.
The game is a lot easier (and more profitable) at a higher level so if you're conflicted over getting AP or levels, go with leveling.

If you're going to be playing Evie:

Extremely simple trick, but it helps a lot.

I thought Karok is more OP than Evie now... Plus why is Staff Evie more OP than Scythe Evie? I been playing Scythe for a long time and I think it's pretty OP!
