  this seems to be a very entertaining game
  the cat will try it when he's extremely bored or something
  
  There's a Bullet Bill power where you shoot bullet bills. (but it's temporary)
  They even managed to put in Gloombas (blue goombas with red shoes)
  
  Somehow they managed to sneak in a Metroid theme
  There too many new things to point out
  Even though you don't see them in Mario games, they feel like they fit just right like a 2d Mario game...

  This game is not only a homage to mario but to Nintendo in general
  why can't Nintendo do things like this ._.

  This looks fantastic.
  100% play for sure. Game looks far better than the originals imo.
  
  The music playing at 9:24 is the Forest Maze theme from Super Mario RPG. Excellent game.

  Also considered Geno's theme somewhat. He was the number one most requested character for Brawl outside of the ones that were already accepted. Unfortunately, despite being in a Mario game, Geno was technically property of Square Enix, so he didn't make the cut.

  maybe it's because it sounds more like a RPG theme than a Mario theme
  thats probably why the cat coudn't associate it with mario
  the cat did play through Super Mario RPG 2 times.
  remembered the general storyline well.
  it was a short game that's why.

  it's a really short RPG
  like 7 hours if you take ur time.
  
  it's kind of like Final Fantasy too
  there's a storyline final boss
  and an optional boss which is more powerful than said boss.

  This one puts Mario in other games.
  
  I'm at world 3. There are SO many secrets to find that I end up replaying the levels quite often. The dialog is absolutely hilarious, and the ability to talk and meet really gives the game a sense of plot.

  You have to be a patient reader to appreciate paper mario as their jokes are quite lengthy
  
  but that's no problem
  the cat jams the A button and was able to catch the dialogue as if they're talking

  It takes about a minute before the game starts?
  
  When it gets to that disclaimer screen, it pretty much is forcing you to read it, unless that doesn't show up at all either.
  
  Click smbx.exe, it will give you a window with the buttons "Start Game", "Level Editor", and "Exit" on the bottom. Obviously wanna hit Start Game.
  
  Launches a window. It will give you that big disclaimer. Took me exactly 30 seconds before it went to the title screen. Running on Windows XP if you think it makes any difference.
  
  I'm at world 5 right now... its pretty fun and challenging.
