One that works with tags that are contained in the image file itself, and not an external database file. Like how windows 7 search can find images tagged on sites like danbooru when you save them. Except it has to support .gif and .png (unlike windows search).
It should also be able to add/modify tags.
I don't care about any other features, I just want to view images and be able to sort them by tags.
Everything I'm finding so far has so much useless features and poor or non-existent tag support.

Yeah it's one of the first ones I tried. It seems to use an external database file it generates for the tags and other info, and didn't find any way to search for tags that already exist in the image file.

Well I did research and found out that only jpeg supports those kinds of tags, and indeed from danbooru only the jpg files have the tags from the website on them. Find this pretty damned ridiculous, I have about 28,000 png images that are now untagged. Not doing it manually even if I settle for some other type of tag database software, and organizing photos into folders is retarded and falls apart as soon as an image is qualified for 2 or more categories, that's why tags exist.
