Link should never talk
Silent Link is good link

maybe the other characters can have voice acting
but there will never be a good connection if link doesn't talk
very complicated problem for the progression of Zelda games in terms of storyline.

Link's always been silent.
And even so, they're gonna talk in incoherent speech anyway.
Like Midna, make weird ikakwaea or whatevers like in Sim games.

Who says Link can't talk? Mega Man was silent for seven games before he was given a voice. Just because a character is "traditionally" silent doesn't mean that can't change for the better. They'll simply have to find a completely kickass voice actor for Link or it won't work at all, and they'll have to choose his dialog very, very carefully.
Tradition is good but moving forward is also good.
Also, that Link sounds uncannily like the same voice actor who did Mega Man in the semi-infamous TV series Super Fighting Robot Mega Man.

I'm well aware that Mega Man is a far more expansive franchise. Doesn't change the fact that he too was silent for a good while. And let's face it, the early voices weren't all that great:

Horrible, even.

Which talking Mega Man are you referring to?
Legends has sloppy lip syncing but it was decent
Better not be NT warrior

No I mean, LoZ has silent Link for all 15 games.
Excluding his grunts.

Maybe not link, but other characters can all do with voices.
Reference -> Persona 4

Hell no, NT Warrior was absolute crap. I'm talking about the show
Super Fighting Robot Mega Man, as I said:

Legends, sloppy lip syncing? I object very strongly; there's a scant few places in Legends 1 where it's noticeable and in Legends 2 it's near-perfect.
(Also, the TV theme above...is actually pretty damn catchy.)

I'd rather link having no voice.

I'd rather we not jump to the automatic decision of "no voice for Link" when it hasn't even been tried yet. And even if it is tried, it will probably suck the first time or two, but eventually the developers will get it nailed down and Zelda might be an even better franchise because of it. Who knows?

Well, we could've said the same about Mega Man before the release of Mega Man 8. "He's had seven games and been silent in every single one. We can't do voices now, it would ruin everything!" But they did do voices and look where it got us:

One of the best cutscenes in Mega Man history imho.

The voice of Link is already heart, and its VERY similar in every game. Putting words in his mouth from there doesn't seem TERRIBLY bad.
What really makes me think, is that Hyrulians speak a whole different language.
The way they make strange noises when they talk, and with Midna's strange ramblings... They'll probably mumble another language.

Well if they're able to give Link a good personality and write the dialogue well
there should be no problem
Only when talking other people though.
the cat doesnt want to hear Link when you press A to examine something.

Well, if they can give him conversations, it isn't too much of a leap to have him say brief things like "huh?" or other such short lines one might say to oneself.

I can't believe I watched the entirety of the first video >.<
Ugh, whose idea was it to make that annoying line his catchphrase?
