It is very easy to play a staff Evie and do well. I can stand back and blind arrow / ice spear spam and still get a decent score on most bosses. Throw in fireballs and you can easily get the highest damage in a mission whilst never dying.

People always seem to assume the lowest skill level possible.
What that leads to is
Staff Evie - Spamming ranged attacks
Scythe Evie - Blink / Thread spam
Any Fiona - Sitting in HS all day
Karok - Dying
Lann - Dying
Karok doesn't get kicked as often as the whole "New char at high level? THEY MUST BE GOOD!" thought pattern.
Still, annoys me a lot. Back in the days where Hidden/Nightmare were the best raids to spammed, I got kicked as Fiona's low DPS wasn't wanted. Simply put, you can get kicked for anything and you'll have to get used to it. Most of the time, I find those raids that kick everyone besides the optimal Evie/Fiona mixture some people think exists actually end up failing pretty hard and having the host rage quit.

just because i cannot dodge well or doing as much damage
is why Lann gets kicked so often. me personally, i dont want a waste of revival feathers since seals are useless right now. i will never take a PUG Lann regardless of lvl, enchants, stats, enhanchements, etc. unless i know for a fact it wont matter whether he is dead or alive. for any serious raid i want Evie, Karok, and Fiona, though if its a guild member who is a Lann i will take him. wont take too many though, as i actually want to succeed at the mission. once Lann gets a revamp or seals become useful again i wont mind admitting a Lann (though still not as much for the latter scenario).

I'm tired of the hate! When will the Segregation end?!?
It will never end until the global lann community as a whole ups their game, in which the moon hitting the earth will be a more likely result.

Only thing to do is to wait for Lann revamps. The most wanted class was once Lann but it's always switching around. However unlike with other classes, both of the Lann weapon classes are inadequate. When Staff was terrible Evies could just use scythe. When hammer was worse, Fionas could stick to sword.

poor lanns D:
at the point i am, lvl 66, in some raids you have to accept that, yeah, if you are a lann you are not so useful as a evie. 2 options now:
-spamming spin2die through the infinity and beyond
-become a successful sword lann who will do damage only with double crescent if the boss is really quick. if not, the aoe attack sometimes. (LLLLRL)
btw, if nexon is going to raise up double crescent it will be a good idea..

Sword Lann is the life.
but even that needs a lot of help...
Using objects I find on the ground to hit monsters with does more then my own skills do. That doesn't seem right.
Its also annoying the time a swords lann is most vunerable is when he's attacking, you literally, have to rub your body against the boss.

You're on west! You can always play with Lutiy(a lann) and me(Niquil), we love lanns and would never kick them out :T_T:

Quite a few Lanns are ignorant. I still don't kick them. (I'm a Lann myself, Hybrid).

Meh, that's likely skill based. When I started a Karok I could solo everything until I stopped playing at 22 out of boredom. Anyone who's been through the game will probably be able to solo quite a bit with any class, and it'll seem
much easier than the first time through. Also, I heard things in general were nerfed at some point.

Yeah, a lot of earlier bosses were nerfed. Don't know why though.
