Don't let Inkgells live for that long? Time on the clock is approaching a 20 minute battle, no wonder you had to deal with that many mobs. Having 5-6 people on Inkgells and the rest on mob duty really makes this fight a piece of cake. Fastest run I had was 10 minutes with breakoff.

Parties now transform at the first wave of red dogs. The system functions extremely well, actually, as longs as Evies set merc traps for mister Ingkells. Ingkells generally dies in around > 10 minutes with that system.

He's a decent/easy difficulty boss before the gates open. But once the dogs and knights come, it goes insane. If you try to focus on Ingkell the dogs will constantly interrupt you. If you spend time clearing the mobs then you'll sometimes find Ingkell jumping on you (from out of your range of sight). That stupid ranged line slash has killed me more than any other Ingkell move.

I still don't see a problem with a good party. By 'good' I mean one that uses their heads. If you see a dog or knight coming and are not currently on top of Inkgells, go take it out. Mini-golems take two or three people to quickly dispatch, however those are pretty rare it seems. To get overwhelmed by mobs you literally have to be standing there doing nothing and letting them swarm.
Out of the 5 times I've done Inkgells, only one time has gone badly, and that time we wiped. This was due to a majority of Lanns being dead the entire time, a Karok who had no idea how to use absorb shock, and a single staff Evie who apparently didn't know where the magic arrow button was. All the other times he went down with ease.
