Apple Bans Idol Stripping App For iPhone

  An idol iPhone app which allowed users to tear the clothes off a selection of saucy idols has fallen foul of the puritans at Apple – as usual Apple gives no explanation for the ban, although rather than bullying an independent software developer, this time they have picked a fight with heavyweight publisher Kodansha.
  
  The app, “RIP! Mosatsu!”, offers users the innocuous experience of using their finger to tear off the top layer of an idol’s clothing:

  Released in December, the app was pulled by Apple several months later, with Apple only offering “the criteria have changed” by way of explanation.
  
  Kodansha, the publishers of the app and the books, are sufficiently displeased to have ensured word of this got out to the news media, and castigate Apple in their own words:

  That they did not offer up only some spineless platitudes and an apology to users probably indicates they are not at all happy with Apple’s decision to randomly ban their product for no reason.

  So why are people complaining? If it wasn't banned then eventually parents would be mad because thier child faked the accout info and spent money on a porn app that the parents disapprove of. Then Apple would be sued and the app would be removed anyway. It was a smart move on Apple's part.

  They've been doing this for a while; some digital magazines can't even release an app due to Apple, but they've been moving towards Android, which is all good =}.

  The sooner the world realizes that Apple is only stifling progress and not actually making anything new, the better. Mac was a spinoff of the PC, the iPhone was merely a combination of preexisting devices (smart phone on steroids, basically), the iPad is just a tablet PC, etc. etc. etc.

  Mac was around before PC, and Microsoft actually stole from Mac to create their OS, so it is definitely not a spinoff.
  
  When Mac FIRST started out, up until the late 90's, they were a great company, if completely anal retentive an proprietary regarding their hardware (You cannot open up the case, or you void warranty, which means you can only take it to Apple to fix).
  
  I love how Apple has now taken Microsoft's position as most hated company lately (Theres way less negative news regarding Microsoft in comparison to Apple now).

  ...No, they still had low ratings after 360 came out.
  
  A lot of the reason why their appearance has changed is because they actually started to listen to their consumer regarding Windows 7, or at least more than with Vista. Apple has become the polar opposite, more often than not saying they will not support something, saying they won't change something, and being highly secretive towards their software and products.
  
  I'm not saying Microsoft is good either, I'm just saying that Apple has lost more respect, and Microsoft has put in the effort to garner more.
