IMO, here in America, you have to literally have PROOF to catch someone of something.

For example:

I raped you? Where's the semen? It doesn't matter if you are bruised and your vagina is bruised. It doesn't matter if the cameras caught me going into your apartment that night and leaving at early hours. Etc., etc.

Like, you'd think that you could put two and two together and safely assume... okay, this man broke into this woman's house, her genitals are forcibly bruised and she's going through emotional trauma. Okay, she was raped.

But yeah, I dunno. It's complicated.

I could go out and ask a random man his name, accuse him of raping me and send him to jail.

It happens all of the time

imo the only reason she was found not guilty is because the jurors can get millions in book deals on the reasons they found her not guilty

NO YOU CAN'T.

If so, people would get sent to jail all the time. I pretty much thought it was hard to convict someone of rape because of proof (your word against mine) and whatnot.

Well to be honest if you were to go in and say you were butt****ed in a bathroom stall against your will they would probably look the other way
if a young teenager gets knocked up and blames the father of rape when she was just a slut you'll wave goodbye to him because he'll be going to jail
even if it were 100% consensual

Haven't read these posts yet, but I don't like how judgmental people in general are about this case.

They went through the court process and they're saying she's innocent. It isn't like they're saying she's guilty, but she's free to go because they feel like it. She may have a douchey lifestyle or do dumb ****, but that's her thing and doesn't automatically imply she killed her kid. As far as I'm concerned, she's innocent until we can say for sure that she did it.

I think the biggest problem is that people got so locked in to the idea of hating her and thinking she had to have done it that they didn't realize that maybe she didn't do it. Imagine how awful she would feel knowing her kid died, the world hates her, and everyone thinks she did it when in fact she didn't. And yes, she can go drinking and party because she was proven innocent. I certainly would if I was told I'd never see the light of day again if proven guilty for something I know I didn't do, despite everyone thinking I did it, and then later got proven innocent.

The way she treated the ending of her case proves she did it. No woman would go off and say "Omg liek I'ma marry dis rich dood and make another baby and get a face job" when she is innocent. A real Mother would be depressed and ashamed that the real killer was not caught.

The fact that she's partying? Yeah. I don't recall innocent people partying and getting face lifts.

No, because she "already served time".

I'm going to laugh hysterically when someone finds where she is and kills her.
I do hope someone does it properly though, and doesn't get caught. Otherwise it would be such a waste.

Yea, the actual punishment is the massive harassment she will get from the public due to media. Unfortunately, this will apply to the jury and defense lawyer as well.

All three of those parties won't have normal lives for a long time. The defense lawyer and jury didn't even commit any crimes either.

"Trial" by media is total fail. People will assume someone is guilty before evidence is shown due to massive media. There are some people who even blame the system when they don't get the same verdict as the media "trials".

People blame the system because frankly, our system sucks. It convicts the innocent and lets the guilty go free far more than it actually does what it is meant to.

Anyone who has honestly heard the evidence and seen how Casey acts about the death of her child and being freed as an "innocent" woman should know she is indeed guilty.
If not.. well, I suggest you blow the fog out of your face.

I'm mad that she's "innocent." I sincerely think she did it, and it pisses me off that the defense partied over the verdict afterwards.
