Thing is, I'm on a budget of $75. I currently own only 2 gigs of RAM, and at the least I want to have 6 gigs total. I have two slots left in my computer, and I need DDR2 with 240 pins (If the pins matter and whatnot).
These are the initial sticks I have in mind as far as buying.
Anybody have suggestions as far as better sticks of RAM I could be throwing my money at, or are these good as is?

Unless you use a 64-bit os, the most you can have is 4gb.
Just a note.

I am running a 64-bit os o3o;
But considering that, if I were to upgrade to Windows 7, would I need to use a specific version of the Windows 7 update or not? o3o;

Why the hell would you have only 2gb of ram then? >:l 4gb is minimum for 64-bit to work well/better than 32-bit.
Also,
here's some ram that might work well. Make sure it is compatible with your mobo though.

Right, well all I have to make sure is that it's DDR2 though to be compatible with my mobo though, right?

No it isn't D:
64bit is just the new standard, and windows vista/7 recommended RAM is about 2GB.
Give us your motherboard model so we can actually find the right RAM.

Well according to my friends, as long as it's DDR2 I should be fine (since those are the sticks I'm using right now). As far as the model it's a P5N-D or something. Or at least that's what it says on Speccy o3o;

ram speeds matter too.

b-but... 64-bit handles more ram better :(
edit: your mobo supports the ram I posted :D

why DDr2 RAM so expensives

So you currently have 2 slots filled with 1 GB each?
You can add 2x 2GB for an additional 4, but the memory specs will need to match what you already have. Or you can simplify your life and scrap your 2GB and get 3x 2GB for slightly over 75$
3x this
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134192&Tpk=KVR667D2N5%2f2
They might also have a 6GB kit but the compatibility list for 2GB modules only lists individual sticks.
According to newegg if you buy 3 they're 23$ each instead of the listed price.
If you want to mix with your current RAM we'll need the exact specs.

According to Speccy :
Type DDR2
Size 2048 MBytes
Channels # Dual
DRAM Frequency 400.0 MHz
CAS# Latency (CL) 6 clocks
RAS# to CAS# Delay (tRCD) 6 clocks
RAS# Precharge (tRP) 6 clocks
Cycle Time (tRAS) 31 clocks
Bank Cycle Time (tRC) 24 clocks
Command Rate (CR) 2T
Would prefer to save money, but I wouldn't mind getting three of those 2GB sticks.
Edit : Also how bad would it be if the speeds didn't match? My friend says he didn't match the speeds on his RAM sticks and he's been running his rig just fine with 5 gigs.

The speed of all the sticks will get lowered to match the slowest one.
