For my Alt, too bad some of the clothes are a bit...on the expensive side D: Most of these are more of a "dream armor/clothes set" anyway :P

Golden dragon rider armor will be totally non-existent in the shops, so you'll need to dye one yourself.

The Dorren's Robe makes the best mage looking robe in my Opinion.

believe me when i say you will give up looking for breastplate armor, especially if it is just for an alt. it's EXTREMELY rare.

First one is really cheap LOL, just need to camp the NPC's for a gold metal Esteban, and the Graceful Gauntlets.

Only expensive parts for the 2nd is the Flame outfit and Ring Bow, not sure about the shoes though. I think those are the Lance Feather Outfit shoes, hard to tell with the simulator and its slightly...different naming.

Golden makes it look nice. Although the elven fire mage maybe can be less generic if you use sunset colors such as gold, orange, and red..Just maybe.

You could probably wear a golden paper bag and it's look nice.
I actually really like the all-gold Dragon Rider outfit.
If I had to pick a 'worst outfit', it'd be the one w/ the Hebona just because there are so many Hebonas out there.

Hence 'generic' xD, but yeah. Might experiment a bit, sunset sort of colours sound nice o_o *brb simulator*

Edit: NEW version of the Fire Mage, I was going to try and incorporate a bit of orange into it. But it just looked so good with 2 colours. A Maroon red with the same gold just looked...awesome o_O, with the shoes and gloves the only gold is on the metal (are those dyeable D:?)
