like, this is random, but I was thinking...
You know how a long time ago, people thought owning slaves was normal?
And now we're like, 'how could they do something so atrocious' and it's totally unthinkable and incredibly offensive and stuff
I wonder sometimes if our society right now is doing something we find normal that the future peeps will find totally barbaric and inhumane.
So I thought about it and I think it is maybe 'eating animals.'
Even though I love eating animals, but that's the only thing I could think of. It'll probably be something weird like 'listening to music' or 'tearing leaves off of trees.'
Or maybe it will be religion, like people in the future will think us totally ridiculous for going to church.
So whatcha think? Or maybe you think we've reached the pinnacle of humane-ness or something?
And I'm not really talking about sciency things, like, we think it's dumb that medieval people thought there was magic and dragons, but that was just a lack of sciencing. I'm talking more about morals and ...stuff.
I apologize for the fact that this is not a very well-thought-out question. xD

I think that we're close. Even though the world is seriously messed up, I don't think it's gonna get better any time soon.

Its definitely not going to be about listening to music in general, IMO

Pretty confident that one day organized religion will be looked down upon as silly, the way we currently look down on cults.
To me both are the same anyways, just that one has a lot more followers than the other.
I also think certain things like poverty will be unknown if we ever get past the point of government and corporate greed. A handful of nations can provide comfortable living for the entire human race, yet it's all horded away.

Religion = Cult with more publicity

Religion and Conservative nature seems to always be falling while the Atheist and Liberal people are rising.
People are becoming atheists everyday while the opposite doesn't happen as often.
Once you become atheist, it's rare that you'll go back to being religious.
Hardcore atheists already mock religion (ex. Flying Spaghetti Monster) so the mocking will increase a lot :o

That's a good one, I think. Maybe in the future a perfect sort of world-wide communism that isn't somehow corruptable will be invented and they'll all look back on capitalism as barbaric and greedy?

I doubt it would fit under communism, especially with all the negatives attached to it.
A world where everyone is given everything they need to accomplish what they want, so long as it's for good, would be my idea of a perfect world. Where everyone is educated equally, and can branch off into whatever fields they like, with all the food and shelter and resources they need. Pretty much a lifetime of education and pursuit for the advancement of technology and knowledge, kind of like if the world was a massive university with the entire population as its students.
Once we can accomplish that type of a society wars, poverty and greed will stop existing, and suddenly our technology will advance so quickly that the solar system will seem like a small an boring place.

UFOs!
I dunno.
I can only think of future things, not necessarily of a change in perspective.

Maybe war, poverty, pollution, gas and all that other stuff.
But war, war never changes.
The future might be the same as today, if not worst ( Or better if people actually care about this planet).
I wonder what kind of evil masterminds and secret agents and stuff are going on, in reality.
