oh look
instead of being a movie RPG like the previous games
it's now a TPS (third person shooter) with wands
the people using the wands just look so ridiculous
poking the air every other seconds
they're not one shot weapons, they're like machine guns

Impossible. Harry Potter isn't supposed to be bad ass enough to have machine guns.

I'd play it. It'll probably be more exciting than the book was, so any excitement besides the last 10 chapters or so is a plus and an improvement to me, even if it's an odd concept, having a fantasy-based third person shooter with possible RPG elements.

Lol at the desert dragon.
If they were capable of this in the books and movies, that'd make them insane. Wouldn't they have to chant the spell hundreds of times over to do that?

No, even in the books, witches and wizards learned to cast magic without saying it outloud. In the 6th book, Harry was about to use that spell that cut up Malfoy on Snape at the end of the book, and Snape made fun of Harry for using Snape's spell against him, and he should have learned how to use the spell without having to use an incantation.

I'd love this to be good, but it won't.

and then they used the mind reading crap to counter that.

I mean like the books wouldn't have something like "And then Harry shot a minion 50 times in the chest"

But Harry doesn't do anything in the books though. They had to make it "cool."

Harry Potter and the goblet of Fire for the gamecube was actually an awesome game! My friend, his sister and I all played through that game, you could get these card things that you could choose from to power up you characters so if we stood next to eachother we like recovered health or something....It was really fun, but then I got the next one for wii......Just no, all you could do was A) go crazy with the wii mote to make potions B)Play stupid quiditch C) duel.
But now that I think about it, I think Chamber of secrets on the computer was fun to....So Im gonna get this game (=
