Do you think you are a good merchant?
If you do, how much money do you have and how quickly do you sell stuffs?
I think if you are a good merchant in mabinogi, you have to sell stuffs quickly and make lots of profits in short time. Not afraid of taking risks as well.
Anyways, tell me all your secrets here!:awesome:
What do you usually sell?
I am not really a good merchant... But... hope I become a good merchant one day..

In my opinion, being a good merchant does not necessarily mean you sell things fast. Better to wait for a good offer than to jump at the first decent one :thumb:

There's not that many merchantable items in Mabinogi.
The easy ones are the limited time premium outfits or event items, the prices on those fluctuate like hell but if you play it right you can get a lot of money.
I made over 1mil off of owl robes during the week it came out.
You can also hold those items to make more money off of them in the future but the payout is often dismal.

Meh, dyes are pretty easy to merchant, especially since quite a few people who sell them are new people who bought them with nx...

Time has nothing to do with being a merchant.
Example: Gaiaonline.
Did you know that I bought about 50k worth of items a few years ago, knowing that the value of the time will multiply?
I don't play anymore so it means nothing, but they're worth about 2 million total now.
Keeping a good eye on the value of gold and the value of items and making investments is the best way to go. When items are worth less, buy them and invest. When they become worth more, you'll have more money. Also, entering a popular business isn't a bad idea, such as Holy Water or Dyes.
Then there is high rank production. Just because you don't have the skill for it doesn't mean you can't buy the material, request someone to make it, and sell it back for good profit.

Well yes... the aren't much to merchant in Mabi (well that's 10 months of experience here) but really... Just selling what people buy or need alot of is a good start to merchant. Of course the item to merchant changes from time to time depending on how Mabi is run, events held by Nexon, the economy and how it runs and alot of stuff too.
Just don't sell things that are generally static... no to little money at all. Also merchant stuff like.. Holy Water or umm... black weapons you get from NPCs... although I haven't tried merchanting different coloured weapons from NPCs yet since I don't wanna take the risk...
Or go metallurgy and merchant gems like Ruby and Diamonds... something I failed big time in :T_T:

lol yea... he was pretty much the mafia in regards to all weapons and armor. If you tried to sell something way over priced, he'd make triple the quantity and sell for less...
....then take your mother ._.

Theres a guild thats going to be doing something similar; They're trying to drop all the price of mats, because some of them are ridiculously overpriced (Some people are trying to get 25k per silver ore stack).

I farm holy water, since I can easily sell it; and the price stays fairly stable on Mari. Most sellers are pricing it around 25k per stack; so I usually price mine at 20k. Some sellers will go as low as 15k, but it's very rare to see anyone 18k; and I always sell out fairly quickly no matter how much I have. Not a huge money maker, but it takes care of the repair bills and upgrade fees. If I'm bored, I'll go prof a bunch of popular weapons, which typically sell for about 50k above their base cost (or more for rare ones).

I sell Holy Water too but my methods are rather sketchy. Everyone says, strike when the iron is hot when it comes to selling Holy Water, but I always say, turn up the heat before striking. The Holy Water market is easy money if you know what you're doing.

it sux though if you have lazy friends that are in dire need of hw~ you gotta do a lot of work and sell them cheap.
*note to self: do not befriend lazy ppls.
i wonder where you guys draw the line, whether to sell to friends cheap or make a whole lot more money off of strangers.
i sell my friends fine leathers / straps = 7k / gift, finest leathers / straps = 10k / gift
hw = 12k / gift
sp 100 pots = 6k per stack / gift
hp 100 pots = 6k per stack / gift
i do this a lot so im not as rich as other people... but i think i like it like this too. i should like some guidance as to whether or not i should do this all the time or not.

I used to be the "dye king of Tarlach" (given nickname) for some time selling at half the price of average. I haven't merch'd anything in ages since I haven't bothered and have been going in and out of hiatus like crazy. I usually only merch if I am hunting items such as an expensive armor, new expensive ego weapon, and so on. I have no use for riches and most material goods anymore. Just what i use. Which will actually be soon if I do change mains =/.

Jewel and Herb Farming isn't bad business either.
