Interns can retain their dignity... They just don't last through the program =}.
Intern = free slave labor/errand boy.

This internship is actually pretty damned awesome compared to all the stories I hear.
Today: Built my own PC for use at the office, and got to meet the rest of the team there (the whole company is about 10 people doing IT consulting and implementation of solutions).
For the rest of my internship I'll slowly be introduced to the technologies they use, get my own lab space to work with it, then eventually work with others on the team helping them implement the solutions they sold to clients. By the end of the internship I'll be dealing with smaller clients myself, and then the internship might turn into a job.

...Way to look at the bright side of the internship ;(.
Its more fun to call you slaves though, much much more fun.

Well at least you can post your slave-driving stories here and make me feel even more awesome than I already do knowing how badly your interns are getting it.

My interns start off at $15/hour, and if they pass internship training get paid more. They also get to work around their schedules, and get trained by the greatest mind of all time (Myself =D).
They also get free snacks and access to XBOX 360 and Playstation 3 in the break room (Where all the actual techs hang out, because like, you don't expect us to do actual work do you?)
