(Alchemy Mastery is uncapped to rank 1 over here...and I'm intending to train this beyond Rank 9.)
I initially planned to rank up Carpentry (currently at Rank C) as I did not expect to be ranking up any other skills, but there are now changes as I have been using a lot of Barrier Spikes lately so I could rank AM to Rank A.
My Barrier Spikes is Rank 4 (rankable to 3 - but there's insufficient AP) and I just made a lot of Barrier Spike crystals to push Alchemy Mastery to 100.0 training (rankable to 9 - but there's insufficient AP).
The trouble is that I'm not quite sure what I should rank. I'm in no absolute hurry to get Barrier Spikes to 1 as I only depend on it as a backup for problematic situations (e.g. G11S2) and Rank 4 is ok for me. I might rank it to rank 3 just to train it alongside Alchemy Mastery's "Build a structure or call a helper using alchemy" requirement.
I wonder if I should continue with the plan to rank Carpentry, or focus on Alchemy Mastery...but I'm leaning towards Alchemy Mastery now, since most of the requirements have to be deliberately trained.
All alchemy skills are as follows:
Barrier Spikes 4 (rankable to 3)
Alchemy Mastery A (rankable to 9)
Spark B
Water Cannon F
Golem F
Everything else practice rank
I'll see if I can get 4 more AP somehow before next rebirth (this week) so that I can rank Alchemy Mastery to Rank 9 before Saturday...
I have no intention of making crystals to train R9 Alchemy Mastery onwards...how should I go about with the requirements? What should I do for synthesis and fragmentation?
I'm worried about the masssive enemy training requirement numbers...should I just continue with -CP equipment and Rank F water cannon, or should I consider ranking up summon golem at all? What rank of golem is enough to train up these requirements?
I'm also looking at the higher ranks of Alchemy Mastery. How am I supposed to complete Rank 2 requirements? Someone said about the possibility of making rank 4 crystals with Mana crystallisation F and Rank 1 of the advance level spell, so I was wondering if I should seek help when the time comes.

Personally I don't see the CP parts of the skills as a problem.
But this is coming from me...
I'd personally continue ranking carpentry.
If you MUST... i suppose then alchemy mastery.

A lot of reasons why I'm strongly considering alchemy mastery.
There's an overwhelming use of alchemy in the hard mode dungeons. Especially Tara sulphur spider mission. There was a group breezing through that mission with people who had high-ranked summon golem (the golem size suggests high-ranked alchemy mastery) and spark.
I'm also applying for royal alchemist position. Apparently it's hopeless for people without Rank 1 alchemy mastery, after asking a bunch of people from the first 100 royal alchemists over here.
As for summon golem, it's just that I'm unwilling to rank summon golem without knowing if it will be good to rank as an aid for alchemy mastery training. I have some constraints AP-wise so I need to plan carefully.
About carpentry...it seems difficult after Rank 9. Materials like tough string, nails and thick thread for the bows is something that I don't want to deal with at the moment and I'm not sure if I should just waste 27 AP for 7 strength which could go to something else like summon golem.
So...any suggestions on what I can do about the training, to make it easier with minimal AP costs? I'm especially concerned about the synthesis/fragmentation requirements because I wasn't planning to rank synthesis/fragmentation.

You can get by without ranking Synthesis or fragmentation, it'll just take much longer. None of the reqs actually require you to do anything difficult with the skills, just succeed on anything a lot.
Of course, a few ranks would go a long way...and given the difficulty of the training you won't be pouring AP into mastery so fast that you don't have leftover to rank some side skills.
Furthermore, to be a Royal Alchemist you get application points based on all of your alchemy skill ranks. Even if you have r1 Mastery you'll still need more alchemy ranks where ever you can get them. For that reason this could be a good opportunity to rank Synthesis and Fragmentation.

Since I'm a bit of a nerd I have actually already mapped this out (O>O). Alchemy mastery is a win.
Have you ranked Synthesis or Fragmentation yet? If not you can rank those both up over a couple weeks while ranking mastery. Some ranks like rank 8,7 are easily done by using -cp gear and foxes.
Once you get to rank 7>>6 you can fill the reqs with cp gear and foxes and then start to rank frag and synth.
Sadly once you get past rank 5 its a major grind. Once Fragmentation and Synthesis is capped just go on to make kills(that way you can kill 2 birds with 1 stone, and synthesis can make you major cash, Send me message and I'll explain it a little more).
Ranking this skill will probrably take a good 4 weeks unless your crazy. Pace yourself. Do 1500-2000 Kills a day till you get r1. Rank 2 actually should be easiier than 3 and 4. So just keep that in mind.
In the end r1 alchemy mastery is just too good to pass up.

It's only at rank 9 on NA but i got there with golem and spike crystals, it took about 2 weeks of semi playing making crystals to get to rank 9, for the attack enemy with alchemy you can just flamer zombies or something as each individual hit counts for points.

Only 1500-2000 a day?
Reminds me of doing TNN zombies for WM. i did around 3k in one day.
And i wasn't bored one bit...
I can stand the "grind" part of this game.

By the sounds of it, you seem quite content with barrier spikes already, so why not focus on something else?
I'd say rank Alchemy Mastery when possible so you get useful exp from using related skills. Golem itself is piece of cake to train and doesn't rely on CP so you can just leave that until whenever. Synthesis is pretty easy, just chuck in whatever is cheapest, theres a good guide on nation. Frag can be a little annoying since its a waste of resources but if you've already finished weaving its something to chuck your thread into. I cant really say much about carpentry as a NA player but if its fun why not spend a bit of time in between alchemy training haha fun life skill, as if

Thanks for all the advice and encouragement.
I'm R1 weaving. I still keep all the silk that I made during weaving training, including the cheap ones.
However, I think I'll skip fragmentation, until much later. Because I don't think it's practical to purposely put items into recycling just for training Alchemy mastery.
I'd be making barrier spikes crystals instead.
I'll rank up a bit of synthesis though, just to fill up Rank 9 requirements. Rank 6 is a bit tricky so I have to prepare 300-400 crystals while I'm on Rank 9.
I'll just continue with barrier spikes, alchemy mastery and synthesis and water cannon for all the kill requirements.

Weren't exploration caps quests taken out of your server already? If so, you can easily get some AP by leveling up your exploration level and get the AP you need to rank your skills faster.
You can also do the Stones of Sliab Cullin to get the materials you'll need for golem summoning while getting a good amount of experience for clearing the mission. Ocasionally, you'll pick you other crystals like barrier spike and life drain which can help you acumulate crystals without going out of your way to collect the materials. This method is probably the easiest way to accumulate a specific golem crystal since all you need to do is change the difficulty of the mission based on what golem crystal your trying to get.
Stone Golem = Basic Mission
Forest Golem = Intermediate Mission
Sulfur Golem = Advanced Mission
Ice Golem = Hard Mode Mission
