Quote from CBC News:
An Ontario man convicted of first-degree murder in the deaths of two of his sex partners through HIV transmission will learn Tuesday whether if he'll be declared a dangerous offender.
Crown prosecutors have asked a Hamilton, Ont., court to designate Johnson Aziga as a dangerous offender and jail him indefinitely because they believe he is a high risk to re-offend.
Aziga was the first person to be charged and convicted of first-degree murder in Canada for spreading HIV. He was diagnosed with HIV in 1996 and had unprotected sex with 11 women without telling them he was HIV-positive.
Seven of these women later tested positive for HIV, and two later died of complications of AIDS.
During his 2009 trial, the Crown described Aziga, a former employee of Ontario's Ministry of the Attorney General, as a callous and arrogant person who lied about his HIV status.
Prosecutors alleged that Aziga failed to tell his partners of his HIV-positive status, even though he had been aware of it since 1996 and was under public-health orders to do so.
Aziga's defence lawyers say Aziga is a changed man and has learned more about HIV and AIDS while in jail.

Sounds like there needs to be more HIV awareness not only towards the community but the people infected with HIV themselves.

What an idiot. He deserves it for not having the decency to say "Oh, hey, I have HIV!".
I presume it was so he could continue having unprotected sex. Idiot.

Or he might actually enjoy the though of spreading it and having people die from it..

Too bad that AIDS hasn't seem to kill him yet even though he has the HIV virus.

Yerp. If my memory isn't sh*t, you CAN be a carrier of HIV and never develop fully blown AIDs. But don't hold me on that.

I don't think that is possible since carrier is usually genetics related and HIV is virus related.
I think the guy is just lucky that HIV has mercy on him.
The guy is just as bad as suicidal school gunners. Just because he is going down, he want to take more people down with him. IMO the government should buy sex dolls from Japan and distribute them to people infected with HIV.

Mmhmm. That man has been HIV negative for YEARS now. Meaning, he can transfer it, but he has no symptoms. I also heard that his wife and children don't have the virus. I think he had his kids after getting the virus.
On a side note, did you know that there are some prostitutes in Africa that have been found to be immune to the virus? I honestly haven't heard much about this since I first heard about it 3 years ago. Anyone know anything about it?

Hmm. HIV/AIDs was and still is very common in Africa, so it might have been possible for some people to become immune to it a long way down the line. It's possible, but iunno broski.
