Beat him twice so far and on first try each time. First time this morning after patch we did use one P Grace, but this evening only used 2 P Feathers. He requires a little thought, but he's not overly hard. He does seem to eat Spear Lann's for breakfast, but us Karok's and Evie's (Evie more than anyone) do just fine. One of his moves is strong enough that I have seen him shatter a Fiona's shield with one block.
His bolts are Homing Projectiles, but you can dodge them decently when they get near you. Main problem I hear from people so far is that they are using the Ballista and Trans too early in the fight. Having to pan up into the sky and back down to the ground seems to be giving people issues as well. Coming from a raiding background I don't find his mechanics to be that hard. He's a glass cannon boss with 1m hp and 7.8k armor so solid dps drops him well, but you need to be moving out of his way just like Ingkell's.

High Offense, Low Defense = Glass Cannon ... In the majority of MMO's a Wizard/Mage/Sorceress/etc would be considered a "Glass Cannon" class type.

Yeah, just tried a little while ago for the first time and my party wiped pretty fast. He seems to have some down time in between attacks, so I'll try to exploit that when I try again later.
No one used the baliste really, although when they did he seemed to go into a downed state, which was helpful. Not really sure how much ammo is in that thing, or what the spears on the second floor do. The host kept screaming about them, but no one went up there.
I went on Youtube shortly after and looked at a glas run, and that group seemed to go up to the second floor quite often, does touching the spear area on the second floor automatically reload the baliliste or something? If it does, what prevents parties from just keeping one person up there and stun locking him with the balliste?

Those spears when shot at his feet pin him to the ground for like 15 seconds.

Do they automatically reload in the balliste though? The Evie I saw in the video kept running up to the 'spear closet' on the second floor then running away, and a message popped up, but it was in Korean. I also saw people throwing spears at the balliste today, is that to reload it or something?
I've never taken balliste duty, I'm always an attacker. Seems that this run requires the thing though, unless you want a lot of trouble. Despite how badly that run went, I'm eager to try tomorrow...I really want raider's armor.

Use Ballista just like in the Titan fight. Aim for his feet/legs to pin him down. The best way if you are leary of knowing when to attack is to wait for him to dive from the air and when he lands hit him with a combo. Then pull back off and rinse, repeat. It's slow, but if people dodge well it's safe. Pin him down and chain his wings (multiple people) and he'll rip his on wings off for the break off piece. Sometimes he'll also run out of stamina and drop to one knee which allows you free combos. I've also by myself caught him at distance with a chain which seemed to keep him from taking off. So far I haven't learned his clash yet though. Hopefully I can get that soon.
I love the look of raiders armor, but it sucks for Karok... =(
Might wind up fusing a piece or two though. Helm + Chest I think would look good with rest of my BH/Swift pieces.

Bali has limited ammo I'm pretty sure no connection between the two..

It refills a special spear which can be used to pin him to surfaces. Both the ballistae and the special goddess spears can pin him, but the goddess spear is thrown while the ballistae, well, requires a ballistae.

Wrong.
To stun him with a ballista you need to land 2 hits on him with it, regardless of where. But it deosn't count if he's flying, or you spam the hits to close to one another.
The Ballista is more like the one you find in Ortel Castle, the one in thor has a slower firing rate.
