Sorry for the long wait!!
I'm not gonna go into describing what this thread is for or what it's about because... I made you for a video for that! It's a little long (12 min), but I think it's fun. :) Heck, I had tons of fun making it. haha

I also went around the past few weeks asking people things, so if you got a random message from me on Skype or on here, then you're probably below somewhere.
I wanted to make a collage of ideas and things that represent this past full year and the community. Some of the responses were neat. I've kept them all anonymous, but check 'em out.
- If you had to describe this past full year in one word, what word would that be?
Mine personally would probably be "maturity."
I've just grown so much in the last year. If you really knew me at the beginning of the year and then saw me at the end, you wouldn't think that I was the same person.
Well, if I was limited to one word...
[S]supercalifragilisticexpialadocious[/S]
I'd have to say lovely though.
Chaotic.
One word, huh? Then I'd say, Ironic.
I spent most of my entire last school year as a Sophomore being too shy of a guy to talk to the girl I came to like and worrying too much about it, and the moment she finally got a boyfriend, who I was pretty cool with, I stopped caring about the whole thing altogether and felt a lot more relaxed.
April Fools was also rather ironic. Instead of it being a day where we weren't supposed to take things too seriously, there were always some people who just had to make things more serious and troubling than they were supposed to be.

- Who's your favorite people on Nation?
hrmmmm
Mama and Kitae.

- Aside from yourself, who's your favorite three moderators on Nation?
Do moderators include admins and Osay?
[S]Osay[/S] Majikaru
Okami
Juno
Actually, come to think of it... I liked Byte too.
Well theres you, you are always very nice and helpful...And you know all that, and then Arsik and Skye.
- What do you dislike about Mabination? What could the staff or the community here improve on?
It's not a dragon.
It lacks shiny things.
No DN subforum.
There has been quite a lot of arguing in the Mabinogi sub-forum lately. Sometimes it really gets out of hand. The staff needs to be a little stricter. I wouldn't want this place to become like the Nexon forums.
- Why do you like Mabination? What makes it stand out to you?
I love the community, members and such
its a great place to make friends, Share acomps and failures and it makes me laugh sometimes.
Mabination is 10x better then the Nexon fourms. im glad Zyrus showed me this site.
Mabination has an incredibly mature community and excellent staff who do a great job at maintaining its positive atmosphere. It also serves as a sort of confraternity for the best and brightest Mabinogi players. I feel at ease discussing character builds and strategies as well as recent news.
The forum has several great functions such as its tools section, the private userpage (where I post my research) and the shop (though I really wish it had a greater selection of pets).
Thanks for asking. It shows that the staff really cares about its members.
- And finally, for our going-away moderator... if you were to describe Okami/Katie in a few words, what would you say?
Katie is funny, charming and verbally abusive with love. She's like that sadistic b*tch if you ever try to do S&M with her. Also, the Twilight cast filmed their movie in her backyard. Talk about amazing!
It's hard to describe Katie. It's probably because I know Katie better than most Nation members, so I can't fit her into an archetype.
My best memory of her though was this awesome time when I asked her if it was logical to test drive a vehicle before she purchased it. She was wary of answering because she knew that I was implying more than that. In the end, she got a little angry at me when she realized that I was comparing test driving a car to pre-marital sex.
Shout-outs:
You can never forget the little people who helped you reach your way to the top. I was going to include this in my video, but it was too long, so I had to cut it. Nonetheless, I wanna give a shout-out to a few of you from here.
First and foremost, to my staff, for doing such an exceptional job with the forum. We're all shades of colors (serious, silly, influential, quiet, [S]dumb[/S]) and that's what makes us fun as a team.
Big shout-out to the big three guys, Osay, Arsik and Mop, who continue to worry everyday about this community and love it just as much as you and I do.
Another shout-out to Kazuni, Bakuryu and Okami. Kazuni, I don't speak to you that often, but you're really great. Bakuryu, tú siempre me haces reir. Gracias por eso! Okami, you recently stepped down, but hey, you're beautiful and it's your party too, so let's celebrate!
To Time, Skye and TA, who recently became moderators, I wish you the best of luck as time goes along. Definitely live it up. Don't be too crazy. Don't be too lenient. You'll do a great job.
A huuuuuge shout-out to all those Skype people who I've stayed up with till 5 and 6 and 7 in the morning sometimes. Trevor, Conor, Shadowfox, Rahann, Rain, Chuugoku, Adori (I'm forgetting everybody else), I laugh so much with you guys. Don't ever stop being hilarious, please.
A special shout-out to Chockeh/Kevin for managing to get a smile on my face every time I talk to him. You're retarded, man.
Thanks to those first three Event Helpers who helped me set up the End of the Year Awards back in December-- Saani, Chockeh, Rain. Thanks to those folks who helped bring about that fun April Fool's joke a few months ago-- Pikablu, especially. Your rants were so convincing and so great.
Majikaru and Pride/Christian, I loved meeting you two in person, so thanks for coming out to the city with me on those two beautiful afternoons. It was really fun.
To He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named ([S]Jordy[/S]), I love how we've been able to disagree so many times and yet we're still such good friends. I think it's because of you that I was elected to this position and I'm really grateful for that. You're a real, beautiful person inside and I dunno if you know that, but I hope you do.
Mama and Ithiliel, I'm very thankful for the many times you listened to me rant, especially during one of the hardest moments in my life. Your advice has been invaluable. It's done me so much good. Thank you so, so much.
Kitae, I know we're always forgetting you when it comes to these things, but this time I didn't. You're the man. Like Mama, you're quite influential around these parts and like Mama, you recently took a break from here, so I hope you do get to see this when you do return (don't stay away too long!). We love you here, don't ever doubt it.
To both Hanna(h)s, the one with the H and the one without the H, both self-proclaimed "Queens of Bean Rua," whenever I think "Nation," one of you always pops into my head. Saani, you've been missing for a long time, I hope you're well and please do return. We miss ya. Hanna, you inspire me. I know you're going through hard times, so continue to be strong. You're hilarious and I'm glad I met you.
I'm running out of people to remember, so a big shout-out to everybody at the Mabinogi sub-forum. Tropacat, Kaeporo (I always love reading your ideas on how to better Mabinogi), Archibald, Justified. Thank you Iyasenu and Menthos for running all those missions and dungeons with me; you make my "Fantasty Life" experience always so much more exciting. abck33r, for always keeping us up to date with the KR server, as well as Herro.
I adore you Lan, Panda, the Cat, Piero, Sumpfkraut (Torben) (what does your name mean anyway??). Sleeperdial, you're always saying the nicest to me, so thank you for that. You too, Joker. Starpaw, you're hilarious, stay hilarious. Spartaaaaaaaaa (I forget how many A's) for all those intense debates you've spurred. They've been fun, haha.
And last, but not least, Mozendo/Tokiko. I wanted to leave you for last, because I know that'd make you smile. Thanks for being a good friend, buddy. I really, really appreciate it.
A huge thank you to:
My Mom and my sister, who helped me create the above video. You two are a pair of comedians. Thank you for that, even if you don't know what Mabination is. haha
[Image: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v146/Groudon/104_2503.jpg]
And my sleepy dog. He's gonna be 11 this September. I love you, old guy. Hope you last me many more years to come.
Be sure to get the Mini Phunkie head in the Nation shop! It's a limited time offer, now yours for only 4500 Gold! :smoke2:
It's a little part of history, a little part of me. A little part of Phunkie for everyone.
[Image: http://mabination.com/images/pointmarket/gifts/miniphunkie.png]
I'll also be sure to convince Osay to put more pets in the shop as August goes along. Just drop me a PM, telling me what you'd wanna see. A Beyaya, maybe? Perhaps a roach? Lemme know. haha
And once again, thanks for being part of all this!
Let's make more good memories. Let's make another beautiful year. Together.
