Ra weaving so far and i got 200 leathers just doing weaving ptj while ego feeding today. A bit boaring, but really not that hard at all. Even getting 1k leathers should be rather easy considering the ptj shows up frequently enough. Unless at higher difficulties the jobs for leathers get rarer.
The thing im worried about isnt leathers now, its thick thread balls. Spider farms are much easier to make than trapping sheep.

leather is not hard for weaving.
for thick thread, balloon + do some simon ptj instead of sheep, it's more time efficient.

Simons job is a bit slow for me because the sheep around dun are horrible at getting caught. Im using it while im in dun for leather, but it seems faster for me to just go trap sheep. I always try to do silks and leathers first thought, because there easier in my opinion.

Most of Simon's job that gives Thick Thread involves some kind of delivery. If you have several mules with mounts, you can get several stacks a day from spamming the part time job.

You can trap the sheep with a pet wolf. Get it stuck at the dunbarton walls or the small building outside.

i usualy go to tir for trapping sheep because its easier, where should i trap them in dun?
And spaming it on alts sounds good, its the same job on every channel right?

West gate area, and there's this building area near the west gate. I always use these two, they are easy.
Moon gate is good too. You can trap them to the trees too if you know how to.
Same job for the same channel.

I think fine and finest leathers are annoying to get. I need them to tailor some stuffs I wanted with those manuals.
Otherwise, I have no problem getting cheap and common one.

Just like yogurt said, its the same job for the same channel. Just in case you didn't know, if you don't get the part time job you want, using the same logic you can change channels for a chance at the job you do want.

I knew the cc stuff, and i was pretty sure about the same job for everyone, but i never spammed a ptj on multiple characters lol. Ill trap sheep tomorow as maint resets them. Weaving isnt that bad, it just takes forever.

I had another method for thick thread balls, but it is not very reliable.
That involves dorren delivery from the general store in Taill. The problem is that the reward does not always show up.
You can do about 6-9 times depending on how fast your characters run to deliver them.
Still recommend sheep shearing over anything.

Is there a PTJ that gives fine/finest leathers?

not afaik.
Also, I feel like leather gathering goes well for me, only when I don't actually need the leather.

What does that mean?

Lmfao, that's the same for me. Then I regret just not picking it up later.

I have a feeling it means "as far as I know".
