Bolt Mastery does adds reduction, however... since each charge doesn't use up much MPs, it's hardly noticeable.
I just tested that with rank 1 Icebolt. My Ice mastery is E so no -Mp from that and it used 20mp to cast all 5 charges. Give or take 1 or 2 mp with it being past 6pm. Great guide though.

Hmm... weird. I tested out using bolt mastery at rank 9 a while ago with 4+CC fire wand for firebolt, and noticed my MP charges little more less than before. The MP charge was not like that til I got my mastery to rank A?

Should a mage use a lightning wand or crystal lightning wand for thunder? I was looking at their upgrades and lightning wand (without any CC upgrades) would be better for less mana consumption. But still would like an opinion on it
Also, what skills would you recommend a beginning mage to train first to get good amounts of int and mp? where would you recommend them to train if they chose a specific element like fire? i know i could find this maybe on wiki but this guide has a lot of potential not just stating what the skills do. good guide though! (that and if someone mentioned this already sorry i haven't read all the posts)

Lightning wand is for MP reduction while Crystal is for speed casting. If you have a steady supply of MP pots then go for Crystal imo, otherwise Lightning is better overall.
Int skills - Musical Knowledge and Composing are very easy ways to get int since they have a very good AP:Int ratio. Some of the higher level books are very expensive though. Bolts are also a good way to get int since each one gives about 50+
MP skills - Magic Mastery, Meditation, Thunder give a lot of MP. Shock also gives a lot of MP but it's difficult and expensive to obtain

You really should use different font and font color for something long like a guide.

Sorry for long response. I changed the color of font to black for easier to read. However. I'll leave my texts in Comic Sans style since most of the people prefers to read in that style, but if I get lot of people requesting me to change the texts. I will do so.

Actually there's more than one anti-comic-sans movement out there, a lot of people seem to hate it for technical (readability and typeface stuff) reasons.
This attempts to explain some of the hate.

Hell, there have even been parodies of those movements.

you could use different color for subheadings, might make it little easier to find something specific.

No, I didn't like the font.
On a serious note: I really didn't like the font. No wait, that's not it. I mean, add sections for equipment, strategies (with party, against mana deflector, etc...) pet handling, enchants. you've barley scratched the surface of magic here.
