I see alot of new gems for sale as well as diamonds that have the untranslated squares when you hover over them. Anyone know if these gems are good/same for feeding egos? I've seen some for sale for really cheap which makes me suspicious.

They are gems from unreleased island Nekojima.

I'm pretty sure they're the same for egos, actually. I may be wrong.

Nekojima - Mabinogi World Wiki
Look at the very bottom, it compares the Neko gems to the current ones.

Apparently they give low EXP compared to the regular gems, but they are very easy to find. Haven't used them yet (and I don't want to try x.x)

Thanks for all of the info ... no wonder sales seem slow on those items ... haha

No, they give exactly the same as regular gems. How i know? Ego Jewel Experience calculator
Also, the diamond-looking gems are called "lapis lazuli" and they have the same rarity as the rest of the gems

Basically, some h4x0r cookie glitched into the island Nekojima, which was supposed to be Jap Mabi only and then started selling Wings to the island
I hope he gets owned ^^;

A friend of mine got a nekodiamond to upgrade his wep cause they were cheap. Didn't work so I highly suggest not buying from them. Not to mention you'd be supporting their haxing if you did. :|

I bet several people bought them just for the heck of it, not knowing that they're from Nekojima. So not necessarily supporting hacking or whatever. :x

You can tell if it's from Nekojima if it has untranslated text. If you
know it's from hacking and got it anyway you would be supporting it. If you just didn't know, like my friend, then you just didn't know.

I know exactly who accessed Cat Island first. Not going to name names, but I support the people who are doing things like this, poking holes in Nexon's tissue-paper excuse for "security". It may be "against the rules" and I'm sure that by saying this I will bring down the wrath of the ToS supporters and "legit" players, but think about this for a moment with me.
Will anything change?
Will anything change if Nexon is left to think their security is watertight, as crappy as it is now? Of course not! There must be breaches in security to force Nexon to get up off their lazy butts and actually attempt to plug some of the holes. This is why I support most modders and hackers -- not because they are breaking the game and reaping the benefits, but because they are showing how badly Nexon really sucks at maintaining a decent community, ripping the facade off the shameless marketing strategies and the bogus customer support and revealing the true face of the corporation.

QFT?
Though I kind of wish that if they did anything about this, it would be to release this island to us. Fully implemented and whatnot.
I mean, we have a cherry blossom event... that doesn't seem very... well, it seems Japanese enough to warrant an excuse to bring this over. xD
Cherry Blossom trees aren't that big in Texas : |
Oh, anyways, I just really want to explore this island, but I can't unless it were to get implemented for real. xD
Gosh~
Also those "diamonds" from Neko don't act like diamonds at all. I think the wiki said they act like Garnets... I think... Definitely not like diamonds xD
