^ I can definitely see this happening. Its funny, I have cousins that I grew up with during that time period (0-6). Even though I now see them only once every few years, I have the same sort of relationship with them that I do with my brother. I have other cousins who moved to my state later, and who I have known with for many years, but they're just "extended family members" and not the sibling relationship I have with the ones I knew in that crucial period.

Now that I think about it, I guess I don't really care. The part that worries me is the gene pool, and people being judgmental. I think the only thing that can really bother me is pedophilia, because there is a high chance that one of the two doesn't understand what's going. People should be able to love whoever, but also wait til both parties are old enough so that both parties understand everything.

I don't think it's wrong morally speaking. Genetically speaking, there are almost 7 billion people. I think it can sustain some incestuous breeding as long as it doesn't become a norm.
The reason I don't think there's anything wrong with is a situation like this (And situations like this really do happen): Two people meet, fall in love, and only later learn that they're related.
Has anything changed about their relationship? No. If they didn't find out and lived together happily for many many years, would it be right to say that love was all illegal if later they find out they're siblings? That's like saying that the love was somehow a lie, and I don't think you can just void a relationship like that.

As long as you don't breed, I don't see anything wrong with it

Alright, first of all. It's wincest.
Second, I disagree on incest if it involvings giving birth to a defect, I wouldn't want the children suffering from something like two people not being able to resist certain urges. Wincest still hawt though.

I just can't see how someone could think of another family members in that way. I suppose I can see it if the family members met but never knew eachother prior but.. how does anybody with a somewhat normal mindset go past the family bonds and find a family member attractive?
I have never even looked at one of mine and thought "they'd look good next to me in bed". It just.. I couldn't manage to think those thoughts. Not because it grosses me out or anything, but simply because I can't picture it.
Iunno. You guys are family members for a reason, obviously. It isn't taboo just because of what it could do to any potential children, but also because it's FAMILY. Blood relatives. You have similar genes.
I admit, I'm pretty damn awesome, but even I wouldn't screw myself if I had the chance, let alone someone who shares the same/similar genetic make-up as me. It would just turn me off.
Cousins and stuff? Not that bad. The genetics deteriorate and the blood thins that far down the line.
I just find it hard to believe anyone in a normal mindset could be romantically and sexually attracted to a sibling or, god forbid, a parent.

I feel the same but then I remember that incest was pretty common back when the US formed... >_>

Depends on what kind, I guess. If you mean how it was in the country back in the day, then yeah.
But cousins marrying cousins has been around for.. ever, really.
But probably because it isn't as bad as you know, screwing your mom or sister.

Right, this is true genetically as well.
