Hey, I'm just wondering if anybody can give me advice for Spear Lann. Besides don't "Spin2Win". I've been trying to analyze how boss attacks, but I always ended getting hit :fail3:. Is there any way I can improve the way I play? Thanks.

Use swords. But if you don't want to be uber awesome like that, I can only say you should observe patterns, but from a distance. Join a party the first time you enter a mission you know will be difficult so you can get a feel for the boss while it's not completely focused on smashing your face in. Have to keep in mind that you're going to be at your most useful as long as you're landing criticals and getting those gliding furies in (use them to dodge rather than take a hit if you have to). Hopefully a spear lann can help some more considering I used swords.

As an average spear user myself, I say use your other smashes. In order to get in a good Gliding fury to get out of the way (if you notice, most people use Gliding fury to escape from enemies while damaging them) I just use the first smash, which has a small hit radius but easy to time.
That smash gives you a 1/3 chance to have a critical, and that means 1/3 chance to pull off Gliding fury.
Also, learn to use that dash attack thing. Sprint+smash, then evade out of the way.
If you really want to practice your spear methods, I suggest solo dungeons, but easy ones. Don't be stupid like me and go running into Succubus at lvl 50 xD.

Worst case scenario, you can maintain high damage output by doing a hit and run style of play on many bosses.
This won't work for soloing, but you can spin2win while the boss is attacking someone else, and retreat the instant the boss starts targeting you. The further you are, the easier it is to dodge many moves.
Other then that, everyone covered most of the basics. A large majority of Vindi is boss pattern recognition/memorization, and that can only be obtained with time.

You also have to know that, by being spear Lann, you have the highest Damage Per Second, but you also die the most, due to the fact that with spear Lann, once you start attacking you can't stop.
