You know
like the equipment your character is wearing will weigh him/her down
and will slow their movement speed.

I hope its more of a heavy armor- lower mobility and light armor = higher
And not the whole this items ways 10kg and you may only carry 100 kg and when your 90kg+ your slow
Cuz if you looked at the review by steparu
All yours armors must be forged Ex you gotta go hunt your own mats and make it yourself or buy it from shop if shops sell it

Weight, as far as I know, does not slow you down. There's no weight limit on inventory, it's space amount based like in Mabinogi.
Each armor does have a weight though, and you can't equip stuff over your weight limit. Each armor mastery lowers the weight requirements for that type of armor by rank; allowing you to wear better armor.

You can fix those effects in dungeon with a blacksmith hammer; it only affects your defense. You can then fix the armor completely in town.

No shops sells armor (except the first set) you have to craft the rest; or buy them completed from players at the auction (or buy some mats from auction).

I can tell you with 100% confidence that there is indeed a weight system.
It only applies to your character's current equips. The heavier it is, the less mobile you are. This risks taking more hits, but at the same time gives you plenty more defense.
If your armor breaks, then your mobility increases again, so its not such a huge handicap. Of course, there are a lot of negative aspects of this. But you can repair your equipment during dungeon runs.
Durability in this game has two different sets. Temporary durability, which you can fix yourself, and then a normal durability, which works just like the original Mabinogi's dura.
Temporary durability can never exceed the normal durability. Also, when your normal durability drops, your equipment will begin to show it visually with broken parts, scratches, etc.

He does.
That's why he's there.
He's the noob smith.

I think it would be cool if wearing armours resulted in speed change, nimble but vulnerable or slow and solid as a brick :D
It would be lame though if having stuff in your 'inventory' made you slower though

owo now that I have been playing more I can answer this better; the equipment weight seems to only affect the time it takes for you to stand up after a knock-down. This penalty can be reduced by:
*Ranking (Light/Heavy/Plate) Armor Mastery, Weapon Mastery or Shield mastery(Fiona) = Lowering the weight of the corresponding equipment.
*Increasing STR (By the skill Strength Training, or titles) = Can carry more weight.
*Ranking Battle Will (skill): Reduces the time it takes to stand-up after a knock-down by a set %.
*Ranking Weight Mastery: Increases maximum weight capacity.
The only one that has to worry about this is Fiona though, and with a lesser degree Lann, since he has no shield to worry about, one less weight-related skill to rank.
