Well, I've been procrastinating for the past 4 hours and have only gotten 2 paragraphs done on my paper...
SO THE QUESTION IS: What stops you from procrastinating, or what keeps you on track?

I usually step away from my computer and put down my ipod.
Being near any of the two makes me wanna IM friends and dance to my music. And I hate that.
When I get into a book or studying, it's hard to pull away. It's just hard getting into it.
Best of luck!

Nothing.
Really, I need to go get help or something. I sleep on average three hours every night because of my procrastination. It's terrible.
I don't know how high your procrastination level is, but if you're losing sleep from this, just remember that YOU'LL DIE EARLIER THAN EVERYONE ELSE IF YOU KEEP DOING THIS or something.
Ahem. Yeah. I have to completely pull away from the computer if I want to get anything done. I should probably go do that now so I can get some sleep tonight ._.

It takes will power.
Turning off your computer, and staying away from things that may distract you also helps.

I procrastinate a lot too. :l
Sometimes it helps when I remind myself that the sooner I'm done, the faster I can get back to doing what I want to.

Procrastinating is my prime.
[Image: http://i242.photobucket.com/albums/ff309/Nyaruato/HachuneMiku-1.png]
I've been working on this for about a year on iScribble now...
292 days to be exact.
Sometimes, it takes patience to get stuffs done. Slow and steady, I guess.

I think his problem is that he needs to finish some essay/project/homework and needs to finish it by a set date but gets into the habit of procrastinating. I can't really give ya any advice since I usually start working on my stuff the moment it's assigned and don't stop til I'm either finished or tired.

Doesn't quite work when your paper is due in 2 days D: Everything depends on the scenario or the stupidity of me xD...I've gotten to my fourth page though, so I'm making progress ;D

I'm the exact opposite. I usually do stuff as late as possible, and still go by in my classes. I'm still amazed at my grades when all I do is the least possible at the last possible moment.

, indeed!
I agree with the majority: turning off your computer, cellphone, and all other electronics (unless your iPod or some other music player helps you focus). Unfortunately, going "afk" has never worked for me.

Setting aside a place for studying is great! It shouldn't be your bed or a location with too much distraction.
