From Walmart.
Apparently I cannot build one because my mom thinks it's more expensive that way?
Anyway, here is what the boxes tell me about em.
Computer 1:
AMD Phenom II 521 3.5 GHz
DDR3 4GB
1TB memory
Dual Core
Computer 2:
AMD Anthlon II X4
DDR3 4GB
1TB memory
Quad Core
There's like, no difference, but she says there is. Price is the difference.
Please help....

Your mom thinks so? Hm, try to convince her to let you build a computer, if you know that your mom isn't the type that likes to be proven wrong, then don't.

I'll have to show her the things I can get on Newegg. Then tell her that I can get it even cheaper in November.

Computer 1 uses a faster CPU, but it's dual core. Computer 2 uses a slower CPU, but it's quad core. The first one might be the better choice, but I dunno.
And building isn't always cheaper--especially in this market segment. You have to look at it on a case by case basis. We can't really help without knowing more specs and what the prices are.
