Error checking patch!

  I can't start vindictus. I started it through the website and nothing happens when I press the "West" button. I tried starting it through the folders and got a foreign message pop-up titled "Error checking patch!" with a link http://help.nexon.com/help/page/nx.aspx?url=etc/ngmguide included in the description. I googled my problem and someone had the same problem as me. They said the clicked the link and downloaded the ngm, and vindictus started working. I tried it out and still have the same problem. I tried disabling my firewall, same message but this time it's in English with a message saying: Error checking patch!
