New way of shutting down for maint? O.o

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. Before you could still log in to character interface. And all the channels would say (Maint) Now you cant even get into that. Did they change it possibly to prevent duping? O.O

That's only ever been possible if you logged in between the world servers and character server shutting down. AFAIK.

If you change channels/try to log out while the channels say (Maintenance), you'll disconnect from the server, regardless. I'm pretty sure that it has been that for quite some time now.

And don't the certain mod let you stay on anyways when everyone starts getting auto logged out, even during when the server should be down?

Yeah, the mod basically causes you to disconnect without your char data being saved.

I keep surprising myself with all the random crap I know. :l
