Since my DS is broken (top screen flashes red/yellow/blue), I tried to open it and look if the inside if fine. I'm pretty sure its a wiring problem, since I can bend it a bit and it changes color. However, the screwdriver didn't work.
Why?
DS uses a 3-pointed screw instead of a 4 or 2.
GG. You win this round. But the war has just begun.
Any idea how to open it another way?

Perhaps use some needle-nosed plyers and try to open them while the tip is inside the screw? Sometimes that friction is enough to unscrew it. Can't think of anything else at this moment.

throw it against the wall as hard as you can, that will get it open.

There's a kind of bit which uses reverse threads and it catches the teeth of the screw. I don't remember what they're called, but they're designed to be used on stripped screws, so I'm certain they can work on that thing.
(If you feel like looking for one, I know that they're sometimes called tap outs/tapouts but that's not their real name.)
