For a bit of important background it's important to understand that this story along with it's counterpart (chronicles of Hostility) the world Crue and Lemia come from is similar to ours BUT without a mabinogi game (so they have no knowledge of everything occuring in erinn beforehand). Also I'm gonna try to stick to Mabinogi cannon as much as possible but I can't be sure of everything (it can be quite vague in some regards). The story takes place an unstated time after g14 and the initial Milletian that did all of these things has vanished. Enjoy your stay in the land of Erinn. :bow:
Prologue:
[SPOILER="Spoiler"]
Morrighan appears. “Welcome to Erinn, a world that should have been called paradise. However that is not the case. On this plane, a war wages between human and fomor with neither willing to forgive. There was a Milletian that was once a great asset to the human race; however he has long fallen due to his choices and his story forbidden to be spoken of.
Morrighan fades out and a map of the world appears. “These are the human lands of Uladh and Iria. Upon these lands no human can die of old age against their will. It is the same for the fomorian hordes as well. All the death that exists on this land comes from the conflict of these races. I have once considered myself an ally of the human race but now I am but an observer. The hate between these races will not stop even by the will of a goddess.â€
The soul stream stage now appears with Nao on it but still Morrighan speaks. “Nao a saved soul who guides the Milletians that can never die in Erinn but by the act of a god. This will be the story of a new Milletian as he steps upon the lands of conflict between man and fomor.â€

Chapter 1
[SPOILER="Spoiler"]
Crue opened his eyes and found himself on the ground inside a black corridor lit by torches. “Huh? Where am I? Last I remember was talking to that chick in the black dress with white hair and huge knockers…..ok not what I should be thinking about so what did she say?†He began to muse on his situation while playing with his short brown hair. “She said something about going to another world I think…next was something about picking a destiny. What did I pick again?†He fiddles with his folding glasses a bit. “Oh yeah I picked alchemist…†Crue is startled by a groan nearby. “Is anybody here? And are you ok?†He peeks around the corner and sees a man just standing there. “Wow you sir look horrible. Did you get attacked by a bear or something?†There are cuts, bruises, and torn skin all over the place. Then the man begins to walk towards Crue while moaning. “Ok this isn’t normal…†Sweat begins to form on Crue’s light brown skin, his hair stands on end, and his blue eyes turn wide. “Aww crap this is a zombie.†He had just noticed a huge hole in the man walking and noticed there was an awful smell about him.
Crue pulls out a knife that was given to him by his sister. “Well at least I have SOME defense as if a knife will do much.†He walks backward slowly at first then dashes forward at the zombie cutting at the head. There was very little damage however. The zombie then followed up by hitting Crue and knocking him down. “This sure isn’t working,†Crue muttered as he stood up. “Hmm thinking about it in horror stories zombies can die from a broken neck…†He puts up the knife and runs past the zombie to get behind it. Then grabs the neck and properly snaps it and the zombie crumbles to the ground. “That was dangerous.†Breathing hard he turns away from the corpse.
SPLASH. The zombie goes flying into the wall in front of Crue. “Snapping its neck doesn’t kill them boy. I’ll at least give you credit for trying though instead of running.†Crue turned around and saw two people standing there. The one who spoke wore what looked like a brown lab coat and a cowboy hat. This man had green eyes and brown hair. “Well boy never seen an alchemist before have ya?â€
“No I haven’t but SPLASH? Seriously what kind of attack makes that sound. It’s pathetic old man.†Crue replies with utter disdain for the alchemist.
“You should show some manners to your betters young man.†This time the second alchemist speaks. He has no hat, but his hair is blonde with yellow eyes. “However I won’t deny that my partner here tends to speak quite improperly himself. My name is Ralph and I am also an alchemist.â€
“So we have the cowboy and a gentleman now…are there any normal people around here? Where the heck am I anyways?†Crue crosses his arms and looks defiant.
“Well hold on thar. A cowboy? I already said I was an alchemist ya stupid boy! And that splash is called water cannon that would break your flimsy bones.†Still not giving his name the man with the cowboy hat begins to crack his knuckles.
“Calm down Al. Even if the boy isn’t being civil, you are acting no better.†Ralph gets between Al and Crue. “As for where you are young man this is a tower that we are investigating. It’s quite dangerous here so I must ask you to leave and return however you managed to arrive here.â€
Crue grimaces. “If I could go back I would. I have no idea how I even ended up here anyways. All I remember was my sister bragging about buying some antique sword, eating dinner, and going to sleep. Next thing I knew I was in some shiny area with white floors then HERE.†He yells the last word and points down just to mock them.
Ralph closes his eyes for a bit thinking. “Did you perhaps meet a white haired girl named Nao?â€
“Was that her name? All I remember was that she had white twin tailed hair, wore a black dress, and some reallyyy huge knockers.†A smile crosses Crue’s face as he remembers.
“Well thank the gods for your luck boy. You must be a Milletian. That means you’re hard to kill.†Al gets a smile on his face. He pushes Ralph aside then grabs Crue and moves him to a window sill nearby.
“Um I really don’t think you should do this.†Crue begins to sweat as he realizes what’s about to happen.
“What we think is that this tower is too dangerous for you boy. So I’m gonna help you leave it. I won’t say that it won’t hurt though.†Al pushes Crue out the window.
“That was very uncivilized Al and you had best hope he really is a Milletian.†Ralph glares at Al making it clear he disliked such an action.
“Psh that boy had it coming with HIS attitude.†Al laughs.
Crue plummeted to the ground with thoughts of his family and yet not a tinge of regret for his own attitude. He hit the ground after a minute of falling and everything turned to black.

Chapter 2
[SPOILER="Spoiler"]
“Ugh is this heaven? I see blue sky so it’s probably not hell…†Crue stood up to realize two people were standing next to him. “Uh hi? Where is this? Pleaseee tell me this is heaven. I wanna prove wrong all those people that told me to go to hell in the past.†Crue began to smile thinking he might actually have died and gone to heaven.
The two people began to laugh at Crue. “Sorry young one this isn’t the ‘heaven’ you speak of. My name is Duncan the village chief. Welcome to Tir Chonaill.†A kind smile crossed his old face. “So Dilys what is your opinion?â€
The young woman smiled back. “He seems to be in good health. There is nothing wrong with him. I’d suspect he’s a Milletian though since he showed up the middle of the town square. What is your name young man?â€
“My name is Crue and what is this ‘Milletian’ thing? You’re the second person to call me one.†Crue looked a bit confused since he never did hear what a Milletian was from Nao.
Dilys went on to explain what a Milletian is and where they supposedly come from. “Well I think that’s all I needed to do. If my services are no longer needed I will return to my shop and prepare some medicine for any injured we might have today.â€
Crue perks up. “Wait you’re a nurse? Please miss help me with this throbbing in my chest. I think it might be love.â€
Dilys face goes blank. Without replying, she turns away and walks up a slight incline and out of sight. Duncan is trying to contain his laughter. “You sure are an energetic young man that’s for sure Crue.â€
Crue not paying attention to Duncan at all is still looking in the direction Dilys left. “Ugh now what do I do. That line usually works or gets me slapped. How am I supposed to react to her just walking away!?†He then ignores Duncan further and runs up the incline to look for Dilys again. A bunch of foxes come into sight and Crue stops. “Wow that’s a lot of foxes. Are they tamed around here or something? Might as well check them out.†He runs up to a fox and tries to pet it.
The fox responds by biting Crue’s arm, jumping back, and taking a defensive stance. “Ow you little bastard. I’ll get you for that.†He pulls out his knife and attacks the fox. Crue hears some sort of DING then the fox jumps at his head. Crue’s glasses fall off and when he picked them up he could no longer tell which fox attacked him. “Well guess I won’t try THAT again.â€
“Haha those local foxes are sly aren’t they. I’ve given up trying to get rid of them. I swear they’re almost worse than the fomors.†Crue noticed the man who was talking and that he was wearing dark armor and groans.
“Ugh not ANOTHER weirdo. I swear I have the worst luck in meeting new people. I meet the cowboy that throws my butt out of a tower, the gentleman who doesn’t properly stop the cowboy, and now some dude that thinks it’s cool to wear a full suit of armor.†Crue hangs his head wondering what other kind of weird people he will meet.
“I like you kid. You got some spunk to you. How about I give you some fighting tips to kill those foxes? My name is Trefor by the way. Can’t believe I forgot to introduce myself†After a nod and introduction Crue began to hear some combat advice from Trefor and killed about 10 foxes. However upon hearing what Crue said about Dilys, Trefor beat Crue all the way back to the town square with the comment, “If you ever approach Dilys again I’ll murder you even if you ARE a Milletian!â€
The sky began to turn dark and Crue not having a place to sleep decided to climb the tree next to Duncan’s house. He settled on a fairly big branch, closed his eyes, and went to sleep. His dreams were quite good that night and full of nurses.

Sanctuary 2
[SPOILER="Spoiler"]
Loa was always a responsible boy even though he was only 15 when his father died. His dad had mentioned that Loa would receive some items upon his death and Loa had just begin to look through them. Most were just manuscripts of books in progress but there was a letter to Loa, he read it, “My dear Loa, I am now dead and gone to meet my maker. However I feel it best to reveal the true ‘Song of Paradise’ be read by you and for you to make a decision.†The rest of the letter mentioned how Loa could find the manuscript that he’d hidden in the house along with a key to open a lock.
Loa found the chest that held the items in question and thought to himself, “True†Song of Paradise? I know it’s a poem that my dad wrote and our names are based on it but what is dad wanting me to find from it? Loa found the original manuscript among the pile of papers in the chest which was mostly junk otherwise. For just being a short poem by his dad the book was surprisingly long. Loa began to read the manuscript and felt a shiver. “What the hell is this crap!?†He threw the book on the ground after he finished reading it. It was completely different from the poem he knew. “Song of Paradise†was supposed to be a poem about mistakes being overcome with faith and forgiveness…however this version held none of that.
The story was the tale of a messed up world. The supreme god cared for no one but his own amusement. He held ultimate power and created worlds so that he would have entertainment. The village that was supposed to have been hit by a disease was actually killed by monsters with only Lemia the singer surviving by hiding. Having lost her senses she sang to the corpses of the villagers about the promised paradise. Loa came down from the heavens similar to the poem but not to take the poor girl away but instead to kill her. The lower god held pity for the human and ended her life. However, his action was not to be allowed by the supreme god. Loa was punished and turned into a weapon without will to be used by the supreme god to kill other gods who didn’t play their roles.
Crue’s story was the second part of the book. Instead of a doctor he was a soldier come to fight the monsters that destroyed the village, but as the poem he had arrived too late. He only arrived in time to see the girl who was singing about paradise to be killed by one of the gods she worshipped. He went on to rally a rebellion against the gods. However the rebellion was quickly destroyed and Crue was killed by the supreme god using Loa. The supreme god then went on to wipe the memory of the event from the humans and monsters. He only left the memory to the gods as a show of his might and that he wielded all authority even to memories. This was the story of a false paradise and broken promises.
Loa reread the final words in the after words by his father, “such a world does exist and I have been there. To the ones who read this book though the story is fiction would you choose to take up the fight against the supreme god?†Loa could hardly believe what he’d just read and found another book in the chest that described how to get to Erinn.
Loa had to know if it was the truth. If the words written by his father had any potential and so he performed the ritual to enter the other world the next week after making sure his little sister remembered what their names were meant to mean. If the world did exist Loa would live up to the poem and become salvation. He then stepped into the lands of Erinn never to see his family again.

Chapter 3
[SPOILER="Spoiler"]
Crue fell out of the tree onto his head. “OWWWWWWWWW,†he yelled as he woke up in a painful way. It was his third day in Tir Chonaill. After his sudden arrival the first day he’d only had time to learn the basics of fighting. Yesterday he’d taken more time to explore the town and get to know the townsfolk. Even though most of it involved hitting on the women. His favorite line was to Caitin. “I’d like two loaves of bread and a slice of your love.†He instead got pelted by strawberries being thrown at him.
Lassar came running out of the building nearby. “Could you quiet down? I’m trying to finish an experiment.†It was early in the morning but she hadn’t slept a wink trying to finish her work. She was one of the few women that didn’t seem to mind Crue’s rude nature and said he could sleep in her place if he wanted to. Crue however refused saying it was “more of a fantasy setting†to sleep in trees so he slept in a nearby tree that night.
Ranald walks up. “Good morning everyone. I can tell that Lassar hasn’t slept at all.†He chuckled a bit seeing her hair all messed up and bags below her eyes. “You fall out of the tree again? I would’ve thought you’d learn after falling off the town square’s tree.â€
Lassar and Crue both just glared at him. Crue already wasn’t happy that yesterday when he’d asked Ranald about learning alchemy that apparently teaching and using alchemy was forbidden. “Oh yeah Ranald did you get what I asked?†He did make one request of Ranald upon hearing that his chosen destiny would be worthless in the known future.
“Yup sure did Price just happened to have one while he was visiting. Sure are lucky Crue,†He said as he handed Crue a claymore. “Be careful it’s heavy.â€
Crue nearly collapsed as he was handed the sword. “Ok I’ll admit a heavy sword isn’t one of my better ideas.†Lassar laughed while she returned inside to finish her work.
Ranald got a serious expression on his face. “I want to ask a favor of you now. Fortunately it should be too hard and will give you a test for using that new sword. Just go to Alby dungeon and see if there is anything unusual. Normally there isn’t anything too dangerous in there so it shouldn’t be a problem. However, you can’t be too sure of these things.†Ranald hands Crue a dungeon pass.
“Psh sounds too easy. I bet this claymore will give me more trouble than the monsters,†he laughed as he took the pass then began to run uphill and towards alby. By the time he reached the lobby he was already wheezing from carrying the claymore. “Yup this sword is DEFINITELY gonna give me hell.†He dropped the pass and began his fighting through the dungeon. He had to switch between his knife and the claymore at times simply so he could rest his arms.
Crue opened the door with the boss key. In the center of the room stood Cichol and a red headed girl wearing a green goggle cap and a green muffler. “Huh is a party going on in this dungeon or something? If so I call dibs on the chips.â€
Cichol didn’t show any emotion through his hooded figure. “Welcome milletian to Erinn. The world of both dreams and horror. I am the god of the fomorians. I ask for your loyalty in the war against humans.â€
Crue busted out laughing. “Phew I’ve heard some good ones before but few so far gone they think they’re gods. Gods don’t exist didn’t ya know? Hell it’s impossible for gods to exist. For one thing there is too much to the universe for one mind to manage it all. Also even if it was managed by a group then they’d have to have powers capable of killing each other so therefore they wouldn’t be gods either. Therefore gods can’t exist moron.†Crue drew his claymore from its sheath since he knew crazy people had a tendency of being dangerous at times.
“Insolence! You stupid mortal do not know the greatness of Lord Cichol. He shall end the selfishness of humanity and bring equality to all!†the girl shouted.
Cichol raised his hand and the girl stopped talking. “Then I shall prove myself.†He pushed his hand forward and a light streaked towards Crue and hit his drawn claymore. Crue felt the sword pulse in his hands. Everything went dark for him but he didn’t lose consciousness. Suddenly a movie screen appeared in his vision and he realized he was sitting in a theatre chair with popcorn in hand.
“Well wonder what’s playing since I’ve obviously lost my mind.†Crue watched as images began to appear on the screen. What did appear were scenes from Crue’s life before arriving on Erinn and then the after. This included being slapped out of the soul stream by Nao and thrown out of the tower by Al. When the scenes finally reached the present the screen disappeared and Crue was standing on a round metal platform. In front of him stood a tall man with black hair and white skin.
“I am the spirit that now dwells within the sword. I have learned about you my master. Once you give me a name the contract will complete and I will lend you my power,†the sword spirit looks at Crue waiting for an answer.
“Well since I seem to have lost my mind…I’m gonna call ya Insanity pleased to meet ya. Funny though how my insanity takes the form of a person though…†Crue began to wipe his glasses when suddenly he realized he was in the lobby of alby again and Insanity was nowhere to be seen. “Back to reality so soon? Argh I wanted to have some fun.†He snapped his fingers hoping he’d get to have some fun with angels and the such. He looked around and saw the red head. “Well I see you’re still around. So is the fake god around too?â€
“My name is Shion for your information. I happen to be a succubus in the service of Lord Cichol and he has better things to do than wait for you to finish with your contract with the ego spirit,†she shows an angry look on her face since he still thought Cichol was a fake god. “Well I’m here to convince you to join the fomorian army and until you do I can’t leave you alone. So I’ll be stuck to you for awhile.â€
Crue grinned. “Succubus eh? Man that Cichol guy is lucky to be serviced by such a cute red head. However, I refuse to work for crazy people so seems we’re gonna be with each other for a long time.â€
Shion began to curse in her mind at her misfortune of being stuck trying to convince this guy to join the fomorian forces. “Don’t expect me to sleep with you though I’m not that easy.†She said as they left alby lobby.
Crue grinned, “What’s the fun in easy women.†They began to walk towards the school without Crue realizing how he’d have to explain bringing an enemy of humanity back with him.
