So i'm a level 30 Scythie, but I want to go back to staff, or at least, hybrid.
I figure that actively hybriding at my level might be hard, so in the meantime I want to go pure-staff. I don't know much about staff, so what do I need to rank?
Also, here are my skills now (haven't played in a while, I know some skills were uncapped, also it's probably pointless to list some of these..):
rE Mana Shield
rF Firebolt
rD Magic Arrow
rD Combat Mastery
rD Focus
rF Mana Mine
rF Ice Blast
rF Critical Hit
rA Magic Mastery (maxed)
rE Magic Critical Hits (I figure I need to rank this...)
rF Flying Sparrow
rF Mercury Trap (not interested in Alchemy...)
rF Defense Mastery
rD Smash Mastery
rF Eagle Talon
rA Blink
rF Life Drain
rF Spirit Bind
rF Mana Amber
rF Ice Spear
rF Healing Corona
rD Transform Erg
rA INT Mastery
r9 Standing Endurance
rF Staff Mastery
rD Light Armor Proficiency (want r9 for Ingkara/Midnight Wedding)
& I have 640AP atm.
So basically, what should I rank right now, and what should I hope to max very soon?
Thanks. ~

You're fine dear~ The amount of ap you have spent on scythe skills is easy to gain back through dailys~

Mkay, well i'm not the best at giving advise, so if someone else comes along, it's best to listen to them instead. xD
To start, you should raise mana shield and mana amber. They'll both save your a$$ plenty of times, and being able to take more damage in amber without it breaking is really helpfull. (and if i'm not mistaken, ranking it up also lowers the stam cost.) New ranks open up for those skills every few levels all the way up into like the 50's and 60's, so just rank them as they become available. Also, make sure to rank up focus once more when you get to the level to use blind arrow. Next, i would say healing corona and magic crit. Corona is usefull obviously because you can heal your party. The higher you level it, the more it will heal, so once you get the chance, it's definitely a good skill to max. Magic crit, is pretty self explanitory, lol. Ice spear is good to have maxed, because it increases your chance to freeze bosses, which can help get in some dps for your party, or to drink a pot, make a corona etc. etc. Basically all that is left is magic arrow and firebolt. With the low stam cost of magic arrow, its a pretty easilly spammed skill, so it can be put at a higher priority of some of the other things if you like, but at your level, you should have enough time to charge up your spells during battle, so it isn't as important, but it is a definite max eventually. Firebolt is a pretty decent damage dealer, and has a low cooldown, but it's better to get your basic survivability and passive skills out of the way first, then you should start working on firebolt, you already have quite a bit of ap saved up now anyways, so you should be able to get through almost all of the skills i'm listing now and have some left over for firebolt. There is also ice blast, which doesn't do as much damage as firebolt, but it is good to have it eventually maxed. When the staff evie revamp first came out, i used some of the sp i got back to max ice blast and it was really usefull at max rank. I was level 50ish and i could kill big groups of mobs in boat five with one ice blast. It also doesn't have the chance to miss, like firebolt (like when you fire a firebolt at an enemy and they just move to the side, lol.) instead it hits right directly in front of you in a decent sized area of effect attack. Fire bolt still has a higher damage output though, so i still reccomend getting that first.
*edit* at the bottom of your post did you mean unspent or spent ap? cuz i said something about that in my advise, so i was just checking if i had mis understood you or not.

I would quickly rank Ice Blast, Firebolt, and Ice Spear to E for the 10% boost. You can rank Firebolt more as you feel comfortable since the damage increases are significant at higher levels (50+ for r7+) if you can land it often.
You should rank Magic Critical Hits (for either scythe or staff), but at rE you got the best benefit per AP. You'll spend another 760 AP to get about double the effectiveness vs. the 30 you've already used.
Once you hit 38 be sure to cap Focus and get Blind Arrow.
You should definitely max Mana Shield and Mana Amber for your level all the time if you have the AP. These two skills will help keep you alive much more easily.
Depending on what staff you hope to be equipping, you'll likely need to rank Staff Mastery, but I wouldn't go past the rank needed for your intended equipment.

Mmm, thank you for your advice.
And I meant that I have 640AP out of 1k available to spend on skills right now.
I'll probably keep Magic Crits at rE for now, i've capped Mana Shield, Amber, and Focus, so i'm good on that.

Skill-wise, looks like you've already got advice...
But I wouldn't go completely staff until you rank your skills a bit more. Or at least that's what I did.

No way!!
I started off as staff until scythe came out, switched over, then switched back to staff after the staff revamp, then I switched to scythe again recently....so I'm just a full hybrid now and I love it!! Hybrid is the [S]best [/S] most fun:D

If I were you, I would rank up Magic Crit right after you get your staff mastery to where it needs to be. It's obviously going to help all of your skills and overall damage output. Next, you should max Firebolt since it will be your strongest attack in respect to damage/spammability. After that, I'd do Mana Arrow to R9 or Ice Spear. Ice Blast isn't too important really imo other than freezing enemies, so that can be ignored/ranked at your leisure for now.
Agility Mastery is somewhat important since agility adds to the chance of a critical activating for bolt magic, so rank that up to rA. Afterwards, I'd do flying sparrow since it's good for finishing off enemies/dodging.
I'm assuming that you won't be too many levels higher once you've completed most of this, and I think the next important staff skills would be focus rankable and Blind Arrow at 40-ish.
So just all of this, along with ranking Mana Shield and Focus when available.
Sorry, I'm not really good at guides, especially since I whore AP. But that's the order I would do it in for where you are at.

/me nods.
And on the hybriding thing, yeah, AP is infinite, thank goodness. x]
But since i'm not far along, I figure it's probably easier to focus on one thing and maybe when i'm in the higher levels, I can hybrid more efficiently.
