Windows 7 laptop keeps dropping internet

This is an archive of the mabination.com forums which were active from 2010 to 2018. I got it not to long ago, and I literally have to force it to want to visit any web page. I keep getting Server not found not found errors on Firefox.

Seems to work better, I have a different computer plugged into it working fine, and I'll try the lap top later. How would I go about getting a better wifi connection?

Make sure the laptop is using the latest wireless card driver.

You can also change the channel the router will use for your wireless network. Some have "auto scan" which will check for the least crowded channel and set up your network there.

How many bars do you get for the connection quality, anyway?

and the drivers are up to date, but I doubt the router is, I'll deal with that tomorrow.
