So basically, long story short - Hurricane Irene decided to take away my electricity.
By mere chance, the electric wire in front of my house was cut by a falling tree and spewed out huge waves of sparks into the air. My entire street, save all the houses to the left of my house, does not have electricity. How am I typing this? My brother lent me his laptop for a bit, and I luckily am able to connect to a network with only two bars.
The electric guy said that we can expect our electricity back by September 4th, so I probably won't be able to get around making those icons for legitimate reasons. Meanwhile, life without my computer is surprisingly not that bad. I've been playing my handhelds all day (free recharges from my neighbors to the left of my house. Their kindness brings tears to my eyes) and I finally got around building one of my gundam kits. I think I'll get around building another one soon (might even finish if electricity comes back sooner than expected) I'll post pics soon as I get back my electricity.
In the mean time, I won't be around for a while and etc. See you guys around September 4th or so.

Oh my, I hope your household will do well enough without any electricity - although the food might not :stress:
Have fun while you are gone, and enjoy the outside is it's not too bad :onionru:

Ask and you shall receive. A miracle happened and the PSEG company finally came to our street and hooked us back into the grid. Went a total of I'd say around 5 or 6 days without electricity. Wasn't that bad. ALSO I HAD A FUN ADVENTURE WHICH I WILL SHARE WITH YOU GUYS LATER.
