Pirate Captain Outfit

Milking the pirate theme a bit more since I've gotten quite a few compliments about it :3

I was hoping to have the inner tunic of the coat match the color on my starlight robe. Btw, this also doubles as my fragmentation set (mentioned in my blog if you're bored). In a perfect world, the pirate captain hat would match my composite shield (very very dark brown). But then again, it wouldn't match the coat or robe... Thoughts? QQ

Correct but I plan on switching between that and the starlight robe in my signature. Sorry for the confusion :<

I'd go with the matching of a robe, since you'll see it visually more than the shield, perhaps. Shields don't really need to be matched too much sometimes, unless you're extremely picky.

If the shield isn't personalized I mean, then I don't see much reason to match it if it's for partial looks-wise.

The captain hat, in my opinion, looks a little bigger than the rest, so it looks sort of out of place. Eyepatch or Admiral's Hat is smaller and looks more fitting for the outfit.

Or, you can always change your color scheme up a little bit, such as change your eyes or hair to match the shield.

Mmk, I'll keep this in mind. Regarding the admiral hat though, I've tried one on before and the problem with it is that it looks to small X_X. Maybe it's just me being silly and wanting to have Jack Sparrow's hat but I might just stick with the pirate captain hat (eye-patches don't work either cause my hair looks ridiculous without a hat covering it). I will make the hat black as you say though since the shield barely has a brown element to it. Thanks for the advice!
